Anyone else's office AC not able to keep up on days like this? Set at 74, 78 in the hall and hotter in my "office". Just sitting here sweating at the computer.

this is the first week in a long while that I haven't been running my heater. Was a little warm last week when I think they had the AC completely off. We asked to be able to control the temp in our office space last year and they're like sure, it moves two degrees. We get 68 or 69. Thanks guys, thanks.

Ours goes out at least twice a summer. Once temps hit 90, I bring a duffel bag with shorts and a t-shirt and stash it under my desk, waiting for the inevitable.

Letting employees have access to the thermostat is nice, but incredibly stupid IMO. Breaking news: 350 lb dudes and 120 lb women have dramatically different ideas of what constitutes 'a comfortable temperature'

It's nothing for me to walk by the thermostat and see it at 67 one minute and then 78 the next.

Ehh...I'm a little too individualistic to join a band...I mean, I just like to break out the guitar once in a while, and just go wherever my feelings take me. It's like, really healthy, man.

Double Ought is out. Looks like it's me on rhythm, Hopp on horns and background vocals, CG, you singing? Nickels can DJ. Still need drums and lead guitar.

Hickory Park raised their prices, not quite as economical as before but still about the same as going to Culver ' s with the kids. Thought maybe there would be a Prohm sighting, some of the media trucks were there, assuming people came for lunch after the press conference.

no one changes ours, it is always set in the low 70s. But unless it is 65 and cloudy outside, it is always warmer during the summer and colder in the winter.

The temp in our sprawling office caries by about 15 degrees depending where you are sitting. I've moved about 6 times in the past few years.
People by the windows think it's too cold in the winter and too hot in the summer, but when I volunteer to trade with them on the inside of the floor, they decline.

I have a desk fan that I've turned on in the winter when it was too hot. I'm rarely cold, but I have some coworkers who wear blankets like shawls all winter.

yeah I don't think anyone here really has access to control the whole building, my officemates and I just wanted a little control over our room that holds 3. Cause we are always cold. I bet if I move though, the office would be hot since it's on the south side.....

I office next to the head facilities guy so I know the dirty little secret. He has installed dummy thermostats in all of the office spaces and simply controls the temperature remotely. They can battle and move the little needle all they want but the god of temps still has all of the power.

I'm fine until afternoon. There's a two hour window when the sun shines directly through my skylights onto my back. That's when I kick on my little table fan.

I really don't like it when they have to have spaces too cold in the summer and too hot in the winter. We sat down in a restaurant last weekend and had to ask the staff to turn down the air that was blowing an A/C breeze from 4 different vents on our table. Of course we had shorts/skirts and short sleeved shirts on - it was about 80 degrees outside. Isn't the idea to be able to dress for the weather rather than freezing indoors and cooking outdoors all summer then cooking inside and freezing outside all winter?

At the Velo household our thermostat is set at 64-68 all winter and 80 on the rare occasions when the air is on in the summer. We do this old fashioned thing called opening windows if it gets a little warm.
