1.) thibs fired
2.) Article in the Ames Tribune saying that Fred told Diallo he couldn't commit to being here next year (leading us all to infer that was a huge **** block to our recruiting). In addition, people starting to add up the puzzle pieces with Darien Williams leaving by saying he was confused with what was going on, Matt A leaving when he did, TJ coming aboard with that wierd quote from Washington's Coach Romar saying "You'll see why in a few weeks", and now with this Diallo revelation everyone is getting pi$$ed off.
Bulls officially fired their coach. Fred still hasn't dispelled rumors so it is assumed Fred is going to the Bulls.

I don't think many Chicago or NBA people are going to be. Heard Steven A Smith (I know, I know) over lunch and he was less than impressed by the idea as well.
If in fact CFH "cost us Diallo" (or Dallio, take yer pick), then that means we'll have no problem landing similar recruits once we hire CFH's replacement. I'm not buying that for a second.
If Diallo did commit and Fred left 1) Fred would be seen as an *** for bailing after luring him here 2) Diallo would have signed with someone else anyway or bailed when this whole thing started. I'm irritated he basically quit recruiting him but understand. Just wish he handled this better. It definitely does not help his ISU legacy the way this has all played out, and that was my greatest fear when we hired him. Better than having to fire him I guess. Whatever happens, I hope we get some top notch recruiters in here.
