Also, how great is the song Everlong by Foo Fighters? I've had it on repeat for the last 24 hours.

My fiance apparently lived a very sheltered life in the 90s and DID NOT KNOW THIS SONG!!! I've been trying to show her the light of alternative music but it's a long road ahead. She just listened to pop music all during the 90s. She had a hard time identifying Smells Like Teen Spirit.

Understandably, she was quite a bit younger than me at the time, but she still needs to learn.

Going back to an earlier question from Pantsy...RT is a little different than CF at large because we have spent over a year getting to know one another. Familiarity with each others' personalities lets us know what we can say in here that might be misconstrued by those who don't know us as well...

How much did you guys pay attention to music when you were kids?


My older brother is 8 years older than me so I listened to a lot of his music when I was relatively young. This lead me to become somewhat of a music nerd. My parents weren't big into music but I remember always listening to oldies on my dad's radio so I know a LOT of oldies.

I love music and I know a lot of songs that I don't even like just because it catches in my brain.
