Try living in Hawaii. I mean, it was pretty bad in Indianapolis too, but Hawaii it's a whole other level.

so that wasn't just sheltered me? That was one of the first places I really noticed encountering homeless/asking for money people but I thought it was maybe just because I hadn't been to a lot of cities besides Ames.

I had a guy walk up to me in a Best Buy parking lot and tell me I had a nice coat then asked me if he could have it.

So in a moment of realizing how different the RT thread is than everywhere else here. I just quoted 55db in the match.com thread with a joke that everyone here understands is just a joke but anywhere else is probably seen as just creepy. Y'all have spoiled me.

Cincinnati, OH was pretty bad about this as well.

Cincinnati is still bad about it.

I remember when I first moved to Indy, one of the news stations had a person go to a corner on an off ramp to the city and beg for money for 30 days. After the 30 days, she would have made the equivelant of over 80k in a 12 month period.

I don't know if it is just RT. CF is a website that is predominantly male, so the ladies on CF have to have some thick skin, ignore half of our neanderthal comments ("would", TWSS, and all manner of sexual innuendos), let us vent once in a while, and sometimes put us in our place.

For our part, I think most of the men of CF are respectful of the ladies here and try to keep it as PC as possible.

Also, how great is the song Everlong by Foo Fighters? I've had it on repeat for the last 24 hours.

The song and video are pretty awesome.

I was two numbers away from winning a CPR signed football, and one number away from getting some golf covers and tickets at the Tailgate Tour.

someone is prank texting me, Rulzzz and some other people. Not sure who it is. Show yourself.

Dat's weird...I would have no idea how to get ahold of someone's cell phone #. I mean, if it was one of your buddies or something, I could see, but I have a hard time understanding how you and Rulzzz would be in the same spheres (I mean, other than CF posters, but that's why you're posting it). Well, I'd say you could probably rule out the RT main cast...the only CF poster I could think of that'd go full nutbar like that'd be CyBer, but how would he get something like that?

Since pants mentioned Indianapolis, I will add that Indiana just sucks in general. The only place allowed to sell cold beer is a liquor store, Walmarts, gas stations and other grocery stores have beer but it isn't cold. Then, you can't buy alcohol on Sundays, aside from bars and restaurants.

Great, I will be in Cincinnati this summer, but only downtown for one day. Will be way outside the city for the remaining 4

And they've only semi recently changed the bars on Sunday rule just because the Colts came in to town and people were getting ****** because they couldn't drink and watch the games.

I just mean like, how I think everyone knows I'm not actually going to show up at Birdy's house, or how WDSM actually doesn't stay in a tree outside of CG's place and only ocassionally watches her from his car.

I think you guys know that it's joking/harmless elementary school type flirtation and not actually someone trying to do something sinister. Others that don't post in this thread might not realize that about our personalities.

Yeah I was in Fort Wayne last Memorial Day weekend, and on that Saturday I was going all over trying to find beer. Went to 5 different places before finally going to a liquor store. I asked the guy at the counter why this was the only place with cold beer and he was like, "You're not from Indiana are you?". Nope. He explained things to me.

Just to be clear, though, I DO really love pork fat.

Driving down Hwy 30 going 70 and my kids tell me there is a spider by my head. NOT COOL!! And then when we can't see it anymore my 12yr old helps by saying "It is in Mom's hair".
