So the crappy-ish news I received yesterday? Not as bad as I thought. Things hopefully have sorted themselves out. Yay.

Facepalm = Buying stuff at the store yesterday to have it majorly on sale today. Shoulda looked at the circular.

Take it back with the receipt and tell them you want the sale price. If they say no tell them that they can issue a refund so you go back and buy it again or they can give you the sale price. Generally they will give it to you.

All this talk about push up (actual push ups, you male pervs) got me wondering how many I could do. 27 in a minute non-modified. Take that, CG. You just got owned by a 40 yr old. :v_SPIN:

27 at 40 gets Birdy 81 points on the military fitness thingy and that is 27 in 2-minutes, not 1-minute. 60 pts is pass. 40 will get her 100 pts, top of scale.

BTW, there are no Army girl pushups, pushups are pushups as Birdy notes.

Kid CG needs to do 32 to get 81 pts for her age group.

You can rest during the 2-minute period but you can't let your kness touch the ground.

Going to sneek into a conference room and drop down and test. I may or may not report back. I only need to do 16 to pass (I am on the old man scale) and 34 to match Ms. Fitness and her 81 pts.

My oldest can usually beat almost all the boys in fitness testing having to do with upper body strength. Back in my day I could do a long bent arm hang for fitness testing.

The older 2 went to a free volleyball clinic put on by ISU last Friday. After the clinic the oldest and a couple of her friends were getting pics with the team. They were going to flex for a pic and my daughter says, "I would flex, but I like this shirt". All the vball players liked her attitude. She's not afraid to show off her guns (and obviously she got them from her mother)

Do you leave the gas in it over the winter?

Yes, with StaBil, or whatever that stuff is called. Happens every spring, just have to crank it thru to fill/freshen the gas...prollem is that usually kills the battery and I have to put the charger on it....yet every year, I expect it to somehow work this time. Got a pretty exciting backfire out of it this year when it finally kicked off.

Got 'er done, and with a 70# dog, one can really tell what areas of the yard he has access to, and what areas he doesn't.

If the youngest two follow in those footsteps, my oldest should be okay, but my youngest may be over his head. He wouldn't walk to the van this morning because of the dried worms on the garage floor, even after I assured them that they weren't snakes.

"Strong like Volleyball Mom" is the new "Strong like bull".
I quit at the 55 second mark but did get 25, almost 40-year mom strong, almost.

that is an awesome attitude.

I used to be really self-conscious about my arms (like high school age) because running 25k little bales through them in the summer made them really muscular. And then forearms with milking. Well, I mostly used my right arm for baling and held on with the left so I also felt lop-sided, ha. But it was a weird feeling like I shouldn't have such muscly arms because other girls don't. I like your daughter's attitude better :)

Now I want to try Boxter's two minute test. Knees can't touch, eh? Maybe I should wait another day, I'm a little bit sore from that and the gym stuff yesterday, ha.

I just saw the part from about 0:48 yesterday and was going to go find it! That was hilarious. She showed him up.

Yeah, my 2yr old would walk all over him. ;) She is pretty tough.
