See guys, Birdy ISN'T kidnapped and handcuffed to my stove to begin our life together. I don't know what y'all were worried about.

I'ma say, though, that based on all those posts about yummies...if one were to handcuff birdy to something, a stove would be in my top 2.

The 00clone patented very fine line walking between flattering and creepy.

Double

Last Sunday was the Donut Run at Brookside Park. Z and I went to cheer the spouse on. I was surprised how many moms ran with their strollers.... and the strollers were filled with stuff (besides the child)! Even more impressive was that one mom with stroller was the in the top five finishers for running. I don't know if she ate donuts or not. I am guessing not.

One mom ran with a double stroller.

I'm not sure what was more mildly embarrassing when I was running my first 5k race after I decided to start running a couple of years ago: getting passed by women pushing baby strollers or getting passed by the one lady who looked to be 8 months pregnant.

I was probably 260 and barely making 10 min miles at the time so it didn't bother me, but my boss saw it happen (he'd already finished the race) and still doesn't let me live it down.

Don't think I could handle it. Just reading this post put a lump in my throat. Stupid, I know...but he died because he missed me. We were in Phoenix for a week in March 2014 and a friend went over daily to play with them & feed them & scoop the box. He quit eating, responding, hid in the closet - the day before our flight home Anj found him dead. He was a healthy 4-1/2 year old cat. Anj was devastated...so was I. Garf was MY cat. His sister Cricket is very independent and not the slightest bit cuddly, and Mel considers PapaLew to be his personal resting spot.

About two months later, we adopted Milo & Molly (brother & sister, he's grey, she's black and a polydactyl) and they are both cuddlers...but squirmy. One more pic of Garf & I'll quit - but this was how things were when I was on my computer at home for four years:

10 min miles isn't bad.

Oh, and more crockpot ideas (and yeah, I know that was months ago, but I'm sure those ideas are used up).

Slice an onion, lay it on the bottom of the crock pot.

Season a pork roast with whatever's handy.

Put the pork roast on top of the onion.

Mix a cup of applesauce with a teaspoon each of chopped garlic (not dried, the stuff that you get in a jar...or you can chop a clove or 2 of fresh), salt and pepper, and some more seasoning if you feel like it, and pour that over the top of the roast.

Let 'er rip in the slow cooker until done.

Well, that settles it, Brittney Greiner is indeed a woman....

http://www.azcentral.com/story/spor...griner-arrested-assault-charge-abrk/26233395/

That link is safe for work, other than the video autoplays.

Her and her fiancee, who plays for the Tulsa WNBA team got in a fight and someone called the cops, they both got arrested.

Only 2 women would be cray-cray enough for that to happen.

Was listening to a "crazy news" segment on the radio yesterday. They had two stories of arrests, one was a fight over Apple vs. Android and the other was over who was a better basketball player, Le Bron or Jordan. Assuming that both fights/arrests were male. Because if women are crazy, men are just plain stupid. ;)

With the fire in Gilbert yesterday at the co-op, our neighborhood is the closest Ames neighborhood to get water from. We saw one fire truck loading up with water when we were coming home, guess there was a steady stream for awhile of trucks coming and going filling up with water just a block away.

All the signs of spring....

Birds looking for a place to nest
Trees budding
00clone cussing his lawnmower as it won't start the first time.

My lawnmower started first pull this year. A miracle. It then turned off as soon as I engaged the blade. Crap.
