Glad to hear you had a good time KC. I've never been on one before. So yours was one where you sailed to several places where the ship docked for the day? I just figured all cruises were at sea cruises.

Pretty much all of the major lines sail from port to port. It's getting tougher with the ridiculously large ships that they are making now. They're too large to make it into the ports so you're stuck with using tenders (small passenger ferries) to get you from the ship to the quay. Long waits in line at both ends and rough rides. It also creates more tourists onshore, sometimes more than the ports can handle well.

If you're more interested in using the ship as a traveling hotel/restaurant you're better off with the smaller ships & multiple ports. There are a variety of optional shore excursions at each port (all are at an additional cost, however). If you want to stay on the ship where MOST of the food & entertainment is free (alcohol is NOT free), go for one of the floating giants (with RC it's the Oasis Class).

Different people like different cruise lines. Carnival ships tend to be known as party boats. Lots of single or marginally committed young folks, lots of alcohol. Princess caters more to families. We prefer Royal Caribbean, and have been on five different RC ships. Our Alaska cruise was with Holland and I won't go with them again. Wasn't impressed with the service. Also, if you are repeat customers on a specific line, you get perks. :)

There are still routes that are mostly cruising (and you don't HAVE to leave the ship at the ports) but we like visiting the different countries.

Took Friday off from work. Was going to take tomorrow off as well but decided against it. Now feeling kinda like ****. Do I just pull the trigger and get tomorrow off and leave the office super short staffed?

I had to bribe my almost 12yr old girl to go clothes shopping. She was more excited about the baseball cards she got as a reward than the clothes we had to buy for Easter and band concerts.

So I Instagram stalk some of the players (don't follow them, just look at their pics occasionally). I had to see what Jameel's dreads looked like since both he and Monte bleached the tips of their hair. Anyway I see his sister is 4'11" tall (not sure if a biological sister or what--she is also the mom of the nephew he was carrying around after our championship game). That is quite a height difference.

We took Norwegian Cruise Line for a eastern Caribbean cruise three years ago and loved it. We were on the Epic which was their largest (15 or 16 stories) and it got into the ports we went into (St. Martin, St. Thomas and Nassau) but it was tight.

NCL was great. Their balconies are bigger than any other cruise line and I personally will never not get a balcony. Sitting on your own balcony COMFORTABLY with a few other people is hard to do on others but was easy on the Epic. Not to mention it was amazing just sitting there pulling into and out of ports or at sunrise/sunset. NCL has a lot of on board entertainment for all ages. The Epic had The Blue Man Group (free), Second City (free) and a Cirque du Soleil dinner show ($). They also had a Legends of rock show but that was meh. NCL is also the Nickelodeon cruise line so all the kid stuff is with Nick characters. Suffice to say it was an amazing week for all 22 of us with ages ranging from 3-70.

This concludes your NCL advertisement.

Some of you are doing it all wrong. Pairing wine with food is just *** backwards. You should be pairing your food with your wine.

I honestly thought you paired your wine with your wine, Boxster.

The only time I've been able to stomach a Guiness is when really wasted with a Norwegian chick practically dry humping me at the bar. Other than that, not once in my life have I ever enjoyed them.

Guiness is awful, but that's coming from a guy who enjoys Busch Light.

Agree with the Guiness hate. It's disgusting.

Dead to me.

I'm a bit discouraged that my future wife hasn't re-tweeted me yet. But since I started the day before the Big 12 tourney and I'm 100% sure my tweeting her directly effected us winning, I have to tweet her again today and throughout the month to keep the streak alive.

There, I'm caught up. I know, I know; tldr.
