Uni is not even on NDSU'S level. So your loss to them last year would be faaaarrrr worse than a lose to NDSU this year.
In fact if Iowa State loses to NDSU your sagarin rating will go up!!

Here's the truth about that. UNI led them 23 to 10 at the end of the third quarter last year in Fargo. With under 7 minutes to go in the 4th, NDS began a 4.5 minute drive 76 yards, aided by a 15 yard pass interference penalty and a 15 yard personal foul flag to score the go ahead td with 2:49 remaining. They won, with help.

We do have one, but ours takes the team out to McDonald's for lunch and makes sure they run out of gas by the end of the first quarter. The NDSU conditioning coach must have some secret training method nobody's heard of before.
Yeah, and now he is buying the linemen the new $10 Arbys sandwich and letting them run laps on the underwater treadmill. Well loved conditioning coach.

I don't think anyone on this message board would argue with you that NDSU is a more talented team than UNI last year and perhaps this year too. You would also be hard pressed to find people on this board that disagree that a loss to UNI was not good or acceptable. The one factor that you miss is that UNI is loaded with many Iowa boys that were overlooked by both ISU and Iowa. It doesn't matter which team UNI plays, they come in with a HUGE chip on their shoulder, an opportunity to play on a big stage in front of their friends and family and they want to prove something to the schools that overlooked them and thought they were not "good enough" to play at the division I level. UNI has beat, or almost beat ISU and Iowa many times when they were by far the underdog. It's sometimes hard to get kids from TX and FL to understand what these games mean to UNI, and although all players should enter all games with the same focus, it happens. Not just at ISU.....everywhere.

I watched last years ndsu/UNI game and I have no idea how UNI lost that game, they were in complete control the entire first half.

Id argue it. UNI SHOULD of beat them last year in Fargo. NDSU was lucky to escape that game with a win.

Let me clarify, the loss to UNI was in reference to the ISU game, not NDSU. My response was to the post stating that ISU's loss to UNI was and would be more embarrassing than a loss to NDSU. I was trying to state that unless you are a part of Iowa you can't comprehend what the ISU game (or Iowa) means to UNI.

To also further clarify, the UNI-NDSU game last year was very close at the end.

So, would it be accurate to say that NDSU is now at Lakes' level?

Haha. UNI was 6-5 last year, NDSU 15-0 with a win over defending big 12 champ Kansas state. Not even a comparison. That NDSU UNI game our starting center got ran over on a moped and missed game , plus a stupid penalty

Wait, wait. I think I had it on my favorites link to read for later, but decided to visit the C-SPAN website instead...

You're right, but UNI season could of been a lot different had they beat you guys last season. They feel of the rails after that loss. You won't beat them this year, of put money on that.
