The fact that some of you want an honest discussion about your teams first opponent shut down or deleted just shows the fear of losing to said opponent.

Today was ndsu media day, the seniors say they have a chip on thier shoulders because of media/other fanbase thinking that we will falter because 23 seniors are gone. Well these seniors want to finish thier careers being known for winning a title every single year!!

Your first post in this thread contained the following:

"Lets get this fat girl thread pregnant and in 9 months you can bow down to NDSU!"

And after over 2,300 posts of whatever this is you really consider this a honest discussion?

It's probably been stated somewhere in this "thread," but after the embarrassment against UNI last year I would be stunned and fairly upset if we overlooked NDSU this year. I don't see Rhoads and company allowing that to happen.

I think this game will play out like many of our other home openers. First half is close enough to cause fans some discomfort, but the Cyclones get settled in by the second half and go on to win by about two touchdowns.

We were thoroughly out coached last year in game one,OC, DC you name it. One of worst fundamental games I've ever seen ISU play on both sides of the ball. New coaching on Offense alone eliminates that reoccurring.

And then I remember a bunch of posts about how's it basketball season and no one cared right now about football. I miss that, the basketball thread is lonely, please come back to basketball thread guys. I want to talk.

Not "EVERY" team is coming off a 3 peat championship man.

ummmm... ok.... still doesn't change the fact that EVERY team plays the disrespect card. Your team just looks stupid playing it "ranked" Division II pre season #1.

I thought it would have been impossible for last years team to overlook UNI, especially after the Steele Jantz 20-19 game just a couple years earlier. But, I was way wrong about that. If the same thing happens this year, I don't even know...

I'm convinced ThomasRick and BigDaddyKane are twin 15 year old brothers that are awful at trolling and should be hawk fans

I can see at least one of them as one of those little kids that post comments on Iowa State athletes' Instagram posts, asking if they can make an "edit" (****** Photoshop job with bad effects) for them and then beg for them to like the "edit" they made for them.

That's fantastic that defense is your teams strength! Can your defense hold up against Iowa State's offense? ISU has far better talent than the typical 1AA schools that you guys play. I have a bunch of questions for you and would like to see a LEGIMATE POINT for each since you claim your team is far superior to ours:

  1. What makes you think NDSU's defense can hold down one of the more talented group of receivers than they've ever seen?
  2. What makes you think that you guys can stop EJ Bibbs, a future NFL draft pick (probably in the first couple of rounds, too)?
  3. Why do you think your new QB, who is taking over for what's his nuts, is automatically going to be your teams new savior? Just because he has a better arm, is faster, and stronger than your previous QB's (still don't know if that's true or not), he's barely played and only gets garbage minutes. He had less passing yard last year than Rohach's single game high...Your guy is unproven and untested, yet every Bison fan thinks he's the next coming of Jebus.
  4. Is NDSU going to be able to play in front of 55,000 screaming fans without losing focus? You may have played against 4 FBS teams in the past four years, but ISU is known for having a ridiculously loud fanbase. They haven't been tested in this category.

lakes, you ever going to answer these valid questions with valid points? You still have yet to do so and just continue to send us video and posts with ZERO facts in them about why you think the Bison will win.

For those who are trying to compare our football team this year to last year, especially on offense, just stop. For one thing we have a new Offensive Line Coach. An Offensive Line Coach who has been with Mangino for years and knows what Mangino wants and expects. And Mangino is not the type of Offensive Coordinator to continue to run play after play after play that is not working and that the defense is keying on, like our Zone Read versus UNI. Mangino is too smart. That is why he is called the Mangenius.

We saw mangino at Youngstown last year, didn't affect NDSU at all.
Sounds like tickets are hard to come by. Is south field just bleachers on the actual playing surface?

What makes you think NDSU's defense can hold down one of the more talented group of receivers than they've ever seen? Cuz NDSU has a top 50 defense in all of college football with a Tampa 2 that doesn't allow WRS to flourish
What makes you think that you guys can stop EJ Bibbs, a future NFL draft pick (probably in the first couple of rounds, too)? Cuz our LB core is our strength, along with an all American SS that will focus solely on bibs

Wentz is 6 6 230 with a 4.0 engineering gap, kid is Ivy League smart and will not make mistakes and his arm strength is way above average. Along with a strong running game, this will allow him to see things open up.

kansas State had 60,000 on opening night on national tv and we did just fine. 63,000 twice in Minneapolis and NDSU own, the crowd means nothing for these players.

Lakes is correct, except the first time in Minneapolis attendance was more like 57,000.
