You provide the superior attitude and the loss. ISU next in line to join the pack of similar teams to lose to NDSU. 22 more scholarships, Big 10, Big 12, blah, blah, blah.........you should win by a million!
He is just saying that while you tout your victories over "FBS teams" of one victory in each of the last 4 years, that those list of victories are far less impressive than what you are trying to claim.
Even UNI's victory over ISU this past season was over the weakest team that Rhoads has ever had. A team that had several key players injured in the early going. And a team that was totally unprepared to play UNI. Beating a 3-9 ISU team is not all that great, especially since just about everyone else beat us as well. At the end of the season we had improved a lot, but still.
ISU is not the ones bringing the superior attitude. That would be you and Lakes and the other Bison fans. You think we should be in awe of you because you have knocked off some pretty bad FBS teams. The season opener win against KSU was a good win. But I would bet that the next 9 games against KSU you would lose. Just saying. Upsets happen.
Fact is that ISU was not good last year. And if we lose to NDSU we will hang our heads in shame and expect another really bad year. We won't be saying "Wow, that NDSU team is a juggernaut. A real dynasty." As far as your scholarships go, you are allowed to split those scholarships to get more players on the roster. Some are 1/4 and some 1/2 scholarships so as to spread them amongst more players. In FBS they must all be full scholarships.
Fact is that ISU beat you last time. Fact is that you have never beaten ISU. And won't again. You lost your coach and much of the staff and you lost your QB. And you lost a whole lot from last season. Good luck.
