Falling Skies sorta sucks but I keep watching because (1) it's 9:00 Sunday night (2) bad scifi is better than no scifi. Maybe I have watched too much Game of Thrones but I keep watching Falling Skies and thinking jeez just kill him already, jeez just kill her already or jeez just kill it already!
Watch "Under the Dome" and you just might change your mind. Last season was dumb enough, this one is just laughingly awful.

I'm not very crafty, but I thought it would be relatively simple to make two ribbon blankets for friends who are expecting. I totally need to sew more often so I don't spend all day Sunday ripping out seams and then getting the ribbons taken off to resew today..... sigh.

don't delete emails. Ever.

So that when someone ******* you out in a mostly foreign language for something you didn't do 6 months ago, you can attach allllllllllll the emails to show that no, in fact you did not send me that request. And believe me, when I develop the ability to read minds that you so clearly want me to do since this is not the first time you have apparently believed me to be telepathic, it will be to get rich. Not to anticipate your "I don't have to follow the rules" requests.

:realmad:

Cowgirl has had a tough couple of days.

Also, I feel bad for whatever IT person got my laptop when I quit my job a few months back, because they had to delete about 24,000 emails dating back to 2007. Probably crashed on them more times than it was worth.

24,000? That is INSANE.

It just frustrates me to no end that when I give grown adults an exact format to follow, they just ignore it. They bury an unreasonably short deadline and string of requests in a chain of 15 foreign-language emails, expect me to figure it all out, and then when I do, come back months later acting like I missed one. When in fact it's their poor communication that caused them to mess it up, but it's probably easier to blame me  At least my boss is on my side!

Mondays!

Solidarity, sister. I get that more than I'd like to around here. I've begun storing everything. :)

Finally have an entry for this thread.

Fiber One brownies: they should be sold in the pharmacy. I went 3 days without them and got extremely constipated over the weekend. I ate two this morning, and just finished a beautiful BM and feel amazing.

It's 2014. Why can't they make a bike seat that doesn't kill my ***?

I've heard harder leather is the way to go for bike seats. I haven't invested yet, but a friend has one and really likes it. Sounds like they're a bit pricey, but I envision this is something where "you get what you pay for."

Ayyyye, wut?! Someone can actually eat Fiber One products and not just immediately melt into a puddle? At our house we call them 'poopy bars'. My New Jersey counterpart told me his wife eats 2 or 3 a day and it nearly brought tears to my eyes.

Oh man, I hate ripping out seams. To facilitate the speed of my 'corrective actions' I've learned to always set my stitch length a little on the long side.

Now everybody...repeat after me...poor planning on your part does not mean an emergency on mine.

Sorry your week started like that. *blech*

In college some friends and I had a Fiber One challenge. We each bought a box of bars and went home and ate them all. Whoever lasted the longest without losing their insides, won.

I didn't win.

I've complained about this process before and someone here said that same thing. I repeat it every time they throw a deadline of 6 hours (when we state at least two weeks because it has to go through another organization and I cannot make them speed up - only the messenger here!) or something else ridiculous like that at me.

Been there, do that. I pulled an old email from our Washington headquarters giving us some clarification and direction on something we asked about a long time ago. Another project manager had a similar situation and I pulled out the old email from HQ that was sent to our lawyer and me. I said don't ask, we have the guidance. Question everyone had was where I got the 2000 email. My Outlook pst archive file is ginormous and goes back to 1998.

Hubby is currently making a quilt. He wanted to use cardinal & gold, and has 8 fabrics of each (4 dark, 4 light) plus two cyclone fabrics, one in camo & one that has boxes with ISU signage (Cy & I-State) in them. He chose a rather pretty design for the quilt. Only problem is that the quilt pattern was designed for a much smaller variety of fabrics. There's been a lot of ripping & cussing going on in our house lately. ;)

I suggest if you two ever renew your vows, that he includes something about never making a quilt in them. Did he lose a bet or was that voluntary?
