Yeah this is actually a good point. I don't think anybody would be expecting DK to come in and be a superstar, but he could be a solid pro. The average age of an NBA player is 26 or 27 years old and has been for years. Many players are younger than him and I'm guessing many that would match up with him are not as strong, though some certainly are.
Thing is, people talk about DK's age. Fair - but by not taking him in the first round, nobody's expecting him to be a franchise player. Most NBA players are lucky if they're around for 4 or 5 years on one team. So what team in their right mind is taking any player in the 2nd round expecting them to be on their team for 5+ years? Probably none of them. They all know that half of these guys never even pan out.
