NBA Draft 2014

Loved the ESPN team covering the draft.

Not worried about those two not getting drafted. They will find a camp.

This was the scouts report on Kane from Seth Davis' column last week, it's a huge advantage being four-five years older than the guys you're playing against:

He's what, 25 years old? That's a big red flag. When you're that old and you're playing against college kids, you should be better. He just can't make enough shots. I'd be surprised if he gets drafted.

I'm much more shocked that Marble got drafted, than Ejim and Kane not being drafted. Marble is a complete joke, and there is zero chance he makes the team or any other team.

Can't believe Ejim and Kane's names were not called, thought for sure middle of second round.

Well, I have friends that are Big NBA guys. I went to one of their houses tonight to have a few beers and watch the draft. Further emphasized to me why I don't watch the NBA. 5 pts per game, in a Brazilian Basketball league and he goes in the first round? Thank you NBA for proving how much I shouldn't care about you.

It's not the end of the world to go undrafted rather than go in the 50's, but I just saw a tweet by Will Clyburn that kind of sums it up....two players that dominated the Big 12 went undrafted. Sometimes the NBA is stupid.

On a positive note, I will never have to listen to Bill Simmons again.

With the 34th pick of the 2014 NBA Draft, the _____ select _____..
-Bill: "Oh wow.... wow... yep. wow, I called it."

With the 35th pick of the 2014 NBA Draft, the _____ select ______.
-Bill: "wow... great pick. I had him going in the top 20, but wow...."

With the 36th pick of the 2014 NBA Draft, the _____ select ______.
-Bill: "wow... yep. I knew it.. Wow..."

-Bill: "I know we're on the 51st pick, but I wanna go back and talk about the 7th pick for a minute...."

etc.. SO annoying.

I would like to apologize for all of my Bill rants in this thread, but dammit, he was annoying and it made me angry.

The only questions now are what team does Kane catch on with as a FA and what I will order from Marble off the value menu at McDonalds in three months when the Magic find out how worthless he is.

There are a lot of good players that went undrafted. Pat Young, DeAndre Kane, Melvin Ejim, CJ Fair, James McAdoo, and Sean Kilpatrick are a few.

Seth Davis is a little *****, and definitely not a fan of anything ISU if you follow him on twitter. He had us below teams that were sucking *** and said it was because we were on a skid recently (we had won 6 or 7 of the last 8).

hahaha. I'm with you. Permanently done with Simmons. During the playoffs mute was my best friend on ESPN at half time.

If Vegas put odds on the likelihood of Kane or Marble making a team next year I'd bet Kane is higher.

People here are missing getting drafted in the second round provides little advantage over guys just signing as FA.

I didn't expect Marble to get drafted, but expected it before our two. Regardless I still expect Kane to be on a NBA roster when the season begins and Marble to be in the D league.

Just further proves my point why I don't watch the nba, don't think I caught a single second this year. Draft totally on cap space and young potential rather than results.
