NBA Draft 2014

Seth Davis is a little *****, and definitely not a fan of anything ISU if you follow him on twitter. He had us below teams that were sucking *** and said it was because we were on a skid recently (we had won 6 or 7 of the last 8).

Yeah..that's not his opinion, it was that of an NBA scout.

Marble probably helped his draft stock by telling teams "imagine what I'll be able to do with a stable good coach"

I love all the Hawk fans saying NBA draft: Iowa 1, Iowa State 0 on twitter. Replies I've seen so far: #85-82, #play-ingame, and my personal favorite, #sweet16>almost64

You can't be serious with this... Wiggins was gonna be the #1/2 pick OUT OF HIGH SCHOOL

Ejims biggest downfall is his height. Be realistic before you go and post stupid **** like this.

Oh shut up. This has nothing to do with Wiggins. When the **** did I say that he should be drafted above the likes of Embiid, Wiggins, etc? I didn't - so put down the pipe. I can understand Ejim, but I think the age thing is stupid. Beyond the age thing, give me one good reason why DeAndre Kane shouldn't have been drafted?

If you want to talk about stupid posts, you should look in the mirror genius.

Yeah, Seth Davis rarely has anything good to say about Iowa State.

And that analysis of Kane is why so many NBA teams suck. Why not get a man who is 25 that can give you 5 solid years instead of a guy who is 19 and won't produce for 5 years and then might not produce anyway.

I didn't listen to Bill Simmons tonight, but he did have a good column today that basically said that the draft is a crap shoot and pretty worthless.

As far as Mel and DeAndre go, they don't need to look any further than Babb and DG.

Hoiberg said in one of those draft videos that it's probably better not to get drafted if it's in the 50s or after...this way Kane and Ejim can go to places where they might fit in better.

I'm hoping that it works out like that, especially for Kane...he pretty much dominated the Big XII so it's kind of a shame to see him not get recognized for it.

I'm much more shocked that Marble got drafted, than Ejim and Kane not being drafted. Marble is a complete joke, and there is zero chance he makes the team or any other team.

Fran's first player ever drafted, with an asterisk. Didn't Marble commit to Lickliter?

If anyone is bragging to you about this I'd ask them to lock in a bet now on which school had more picks the next five years.

One of the main reasons Kane was so good last year was because how strong he was, a big reason for that is because he's five-six years older than a lot of the guys he was playing against. Take away his strength advantage, and he has a questionable shot and sloppy ball handling skills at times. People on here saying he would have got minutes in the Finals this year are crazy. He was a terrific college player and I still think he has a good chance of eventually catching on with someone but he's more likely than not going to be a guy that's fighting year to year to stay in the league rather than a guy who is going to be a solid rotation/sixth man type of guy.

Or to bet who is going to get more NBA games?

Marble fell quite a bit from where a lot of people thought he was going to go. Hell, last week on KXNO someone said that they thought he could go late in the first round.

Marble pranced around talking about how great he was in all of his interviews. I was hoping he'd go undrafted. Oh well.

Why are people surprised about Kane-Ejim-Marble? This is pretty much what everyone was predicting.

Probably more like 3 years on average. It counts for something, I agree, but he's still a great player.

Does make me chuckle a bit, given when he got picked...

Did you see the disaster that was Chalmers in the finals? I sure as hell think DeAndre could have gotten mintues in the finals.

Plenty of 6'6/6'7" SF's drafted, which is confusing as to why Ejim sat this out.

The media here glorifying Devyn, yet there is no guarantee he'll make a team. But good for him. He really improved despite his leech biological father hanging around like a fungus for four years

And Fred was an extreme long shot to make the team that year. The final spot came down to him and some Indiana legend that the fans (obviously) wanted to make the team.

Take away Lebron's strength and what do you have?
