Michigan @ Iowa State predictions

So, do they play Jeremy Morgan instead of McGary?

Niang could have a huge game offensively against him, which we'd need every bit of to get by.

KenPom has us winning 71-70 right now fwiw, had us losing by a point before yesterdays game

When was the last time ISU lost to a ranked opponent at home not called KU last year? Mizzou?

Predicting the outcome of a game where the participants are unknown seems silly to me. Aren't the status of Ejim and McGary still unknown?

This game will be known as the Monte Morris coming out party.

Mr. Basketball shows the Wolverines what they missed out on.

This prediction will probably change once we hear the status of Ejim and McGary, but right now..

Mich-78
ISU-72

Tempering my expectations a bit. I think we drop a close one but it does the team a lot of good, puts a bad taste in our mouths, and propels us forward. Either way, I can't wait to be in Hilton Sunday. The place is going to be absolutely crazy.

I'm not going to predict this game, but I can't wait to be there. I'm going to blast Jock Jams 3 all the way up to Ames.

I can't believe anyone is predicting that both teams will score less than 75. It is gonna be in the 90s I think.

Michigan by 5. Still some things to work out, concerned about D/rebounding against a team like mich.

Based on their first game, it looks like Michigan will go small as well with McGary out. Their posts (Horford and Morgan) only combined to play 34 minutes). They have a 6'7" guy who also played 6 minutes. From the box score, it looks like Robinson probably played the whole game at the '4'.

I bet it's closer to Michigan -8, unless they completely lay an egg on Tuesday.

No way we're that big of dog at home. We closed as a pick em to KU last year and we're favorites against Okie State. Vegas respects Hilton

we start fast (up ten) ... cool down and are within 8 at half. We take the lead in the second.. but falter, due to fouls, the last four minutes.

90-81 M.

When was the last time ISU lost to a ranked opponent at home not called KU last year? Mizzou?

Our last home loss before KU 2013 was Mizzou 2012, which was only the 3rd conference game of the season that year.

Mizzou was ranked #9 and we lost 76-69 according to cyclones.com.

Since then, we have beaten 5 ranked opponents at home:

Kansas 2012 (#5)
Baylor 2012 (#9)
Kansas State 2013 (#11)
Kansas 2013* (#6)
Oklahoma State 2013 (#13)

*Yes I count this as a W.

I had this game as a win until Melvin got hurt. Even if he's back, he's still not going to be 100%. I'm hopeful, but not particularly confident we will win it. At minimum, we should at least give them a tough game.
