Seneca Time!

Warren Sapp was on Dan Patrick and he took up for Seneca. He said what you saw Monday night was 2 backups where one got reps in practice all week and the other (Seneca) didn't. Sapp words "Seneca can play quarterback in this league." Said GB should throw in some plays where Seneca can use his ability to bootleg.

I hope more reps will help Seneca next week but I saw a lot of things from him that probably won't be able to be corrected. Seneca looks like he is considerably slower than he used to be and also doesn't have a strong enough arm throwing the football. Accuracy also seems to be a big issue for him.

So, he is slow... does not have a strong arm... and does not have an accurate arm. Wow, why is he a QB in the NFL then?

On the play where Seneca ran around forever and finally hit a receiver on the sideline, where they ruled the knee out before he secured the ball, I told my husband I thought Seneca could have run for the first down. He thought they were discouraging him from running much because he was the only QB they had left since they only carry two. I thought he still looked pretty fast, but I am guessing they did want him to be a little conservative to protect himself.

Just saying what I observed. His passes looked pretty weak and several times he threw easy passes behind receivers or too low. Also, seemed to struggle to out run Chicago's DEs. We will see what happens this week.

I think this is correct.

Did anyone else notice the announcers went out of their way to NOT say he was from Iowa State? I was waiting to hear it all night, but they never said where he was drafted from.

The closest they got was saying he spent 2 years at JuCo before transferring to play 2 years at a university.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.
They mentioned ISU at one point...

He looks slower?

Well, he's 34 and playing against the best of the best and not college players.

I'll tell you I was absolutely shocked when a 5' 10" , essentially retired QB, got a pass batted and intercepted by a 6' 8" Hall of Fame D-End. What was he thinking?

How about this quote:
It's not like the Pack has had tons of turnover at the QB spot over the years -- Wallace is only the 4th starter since 1993 when Brett Favre (white) took the job from Don Majkowski (white).

Of course, Aaron Rodgers (white) followed him and Matt Flynn (white/burnout) started a couple of games when A.R. got hurt in 2010 & 2011.

I have a clueless friend (a Packer fan) who insists that the Packers will bring back Matt Flynn, and he will lead them to 3 wins by the time Rodgers is available.

All I tell him is there is a reason teams like Oakland and Buffalo didn't want him, and reasons why teams like St. Louis and Cleveland wouldn't even bring him in for a look. Can't reason with idiots though.
