Breaking Bad

Dang. I enjoy the show still very much.

I should clarify. This isn't something like Dexter where the show just became unwatchable. It's just a show that was always going to have a very bleak, difficult ending. You knew after Gus that there weren't going to be any more victories to cheer, just consequences. Brutal, soul-killing consequences.

I know what you meant. But that is why I love the show. Same with Sons of Anarchy, there is always someone that needs to be killed.

As stated before, I also believe this is one of the best if not THE best show ever on television. I loved prison break, but like dexter, it dragged on and never seemed to end. And I love me some SOA, but SOA is just a little too much drama for me. Whereas Breaking Bad is non-stop action and suspense. Brilliant writing.

I think after last night we are officially out of "needs to be killed" territory, if we weren't there already. I'm sure I'll have a little cheer when Walt blows Todd away, but it will be a hollow victory after horror show these last couple weeks have been.

Agree to disagree, imo these still NEED to be killed:

Jesse - because he's a rat
Lydia
Todd and Nazi's - numerous reasons
Walt Jr - for being ingratefull
Grey Matter couple - depending on if we find out why things broke off between Walt and Gretchen

I disagree that Junior is in the "need to kill" group.

Walt could have justified killing Hank alot easier, but he refused to do it. Walt will not kill family, period.

I am not caught up, so I am going to post this and bail, but my wife and I never watched a single episode of Breaking Bad until 2 1/2 weeks ago. I finally talked her into starting from the beginning, and we are now on season five, episode eight, and she is a complete Breaking Bad fiend, to the point where I have to be the one to say enough after three or four episodes a night.

Awesome show though! Can't believe we've been ignoring it all this time!

Thats how we were last winter when we got caught up, and then we got caught up on Sons of Anarchy the weekend before this season started, and now we are working on Boardwalk Empire.

My wife and I started binge-watching shows a few years ago. It's great because all of details are so fresh, but it's very addicting.

Don't feel bad! We started watching maybe 3 weeks before Zoe was born.

I'm kind of hoping Jesse is the one that takes Todd out.

I think he will want the Gray Matter couple to be arrested and suffer the public shaming that goes with being the biggest meth dealer in Eastern Europe and contributing the problem in New Mexico. Lydia gets the ricin, he frees Jesse using the gun but Jesse ends up as the one killing Todd. Jesse rides off into the sunset but Walt is badly hurt in the encounter and dies in front of his family.

I wouldn't mind that, but I kind of want Todd to live, other than being a stone cold killer he seems like a nice guy (cue the Tommy Boy clip). Would love to see Jesse take out Walt, but I think he has all but given up on everything but who knows maybe a little motivation will get him to go on a spree and take out the Nazis and Walt.

Where did this theory that Gray Matter is distributing meth in Europe come from? There is nothing in the show to indicate that. That would be pretty hokey and way out of tune with the rest of the show if they threw that in the last episode out of nowhere.

There is only one thing I can guarantee will happen in the finale.... one last meeting between Walt and Jesse. One last talk. Don't know what will happen, but they are definitely going to meet one last time.

Something that has bugged me (but not enough to consider it a deal breaker) is that when Skyler pays Benneke's IRS debt Walt says it is all the money he has from cooking. I think it was $600,000. How did Walt get 80 million dollar so quickly then and was he lying that $600,000 was all he had saved?

So you are in the "the point of the show is Walter White being a bad-***, OMG go Heisenberg!" camp, huh? I hate to be that pretentious ********* that tells people they're missing the point of a TV show, but in this case I think it might be warranted.

I know the point/message of the show and I choose to cheer for a guy with cancer doing WHATEVER it takes to make his family financially well off after he is gone.
