yeah all the stuff around the blast was probably held together with duct tape and dreams.Yeah some random guy could have thrown away his old nails and ball bearings in a trash can. He probably feels pretty terrible right now.

I wouldn't be surprised if its some nut job trying to make a point that he doesn't need guns to hurt people and banning them won't do a damn thing.
Foxnews is now reporting some elements of an Al Qaeda style "pressure cooker" bomb may have been found. This is obviously early and such reports are highly inconclusive at this point, but it is interesting. We'll all just have to be patient before drawing conclusions but if I was forced to make a guess, this just feels like an AQ style operation....probably by a somewhat disconnected splinter cell...but certainly inspired by and perhaps even in communication with Al Qaeda or its affiliates.
I really hope and pray that this is a one-off incident, and not the start of what other countries have experienced on a regular basis for years. As someone said above, the fact that no one claimed responsibility makes you think it was not a foreign terrorist group.

JUST STOP!
Reports are highly inconclusive and we don't know if it was Al Qaeda, but it was Al Qaeda.Anyone else confused by this post? What's the problem?
That's a good point, but I personally don't mind the conjecture, even considering the poster involved. I'm obviously interested (as we all are) in the identities of the perpetrators and as you said there is very little conjecture in the media. I'd love to see a little analysis of what's known so far by someone reputable in the intelligence community. Almost 24 hours later, it's a little frustrating to still be so in the dark on this. (It also reveals that I am spoiled by the 24-hour news cycle.)
Somebody has got to have seen something or gotten this person in a picture.
I need to learn how to make a legit tourniquet, I think.
I see no point in trying to piece together information and misinformation alike to try to determine who is behind it at this point. I mean if you want I can name a group and we can all be mad at them together. It was the Mongols, they did it.That's a good point, but I personally don't mind the conjecture, even considering the poster involved. "Richard Barrett, the former U.N. coordinator for an al-Qaida and Taliban monitoring team who has also worked for British intelligence, said the relatively small size of the devices in Boston and the timing of the blasts suggest a domestic attack rather than an al-Qaida-inspired one."
That's his opinion. Given his work history, he probably has a little more insight than your average Joe.
