Explosions at Boston Marathon

Have to think that everything in Boston looks way more suspicious right now than it did 2 hours ago.

I lived in Chicago for about 15 years and I always had that mindset on regular days. It's why I like Ames, I don't fear being targeted randomly for crimes like this.

Sort of off topic, but you know what I like about CF? The fact that I can come on here and as a group information can be found and shared, and 99% of the commentary about incidents such as this is both appropriate and intelligent. Versus the typical comments at the end of any online news organization that devolve into political, racist, xenophobic, homophobic rants 5 comments in.
I was just going to wait a bit before I blamed Middle Eastern right wing white supremacist homophobes for the attack.

It looks like Alex Jones has already gotten himself into some hot water with some remarks about this; that didn't take long.

I was thinking more along the line of that package sitting outside your neighbor's door that you didn't think twice about this morning, but I get what you're saying.

Clicked on it anyway. It was so over the top it didn't register as being real to me. Felt like it was from the walking dead. Never sure things if photos like that should be published. I see they have at least blurred out his face now (that wasn't the case when I first looked at it).

They should not be, as that is doing the terrorist's work for them. Crap like that will get out from people on social media, but should not be used by a legitimate news organization.

This could have been a lot worse than it was. At least there were medical tents all around and all of the first responders that were there. Prayers go out to all of those that were injured physically and mentally from this.

I fly into NYC on Wednesday for work. Not worried as security will be insane this week and I'll be locked up in my office the for 3 days. The wife however is not happy with me right now...

I looked at the comments on ESPN. It was like half jokes about liberals banning marathons and people ******** about not being able to watch PTI. I know its the internet and ESPN, but seriously have some humanity.

No question. I'm certain there were a few that were critically injured that are going to live because paramedics were on the scene already.
