Matt Van Winkle@mattvanwinkle Fred Hoiberg swished a one handed three before talking to the media today. That's why they call him The Mayor. #Cyclones

What a beast.

Yes, he can be more of a stud- if he gave the refs earfuls every now and then.

If he would have choke slammed Tom O'Neill Monday night after the game I would have said no.

I still say we keep him though, he's pretty good.

If he was a coach at KU they would put him in the game and see if the Ref caught it.

I no longer care if Fred can shoot.

Having one of the NBA's purest shooters in the last 20 years as your coach could possibly affect recruiting. He has shown he can do it and he has demonstrated that he can coach it.

Good players will come, Ray. They will most certainly come.

I now trust fred to take a game winning shot while seated from the bench.

Would have been more studly if he would have impregnated a woman immediately after making the shot.

I said I don't care that he can shoot. Not that he could ever shoot. He made a career out of being a shooter but if he could no longer shoot tomorrrow it wouldn't matter.

I think it's more manly to be able to control your emotions, but maybe that is just me.

That would be true if the refs were also manly. Unfortunately, refs are whimps that get intimidated by the tantrums of people like Self. And then, our manly man must respond.

I'm kind of in the camp that it may help with some refs and hurt with others. Larry was pretty aggressive, but I sure don't remember getting more than our share of calls.

Choke slam, holding him at the top of the slam a moment...then when finished put on foot on O'Neill's chest and make the choke slam motion to the crowd ala The Giant.
