NBA: Playoff Time

They need a go to scorer. Their depth is pretty good but I think they need to trade some of that to get a star.

Goodbye, Danny Granger. Hello, Eric Gordon. Hometown kid, and a potential all star just entering his prime. Just gotta find a trade partner for Granger and his ludicrous deal.

Well this should be a valuable experience for the Pacers as an organization. Vogel needs to become a better coach and get more from his players. The pieces are mainly there though.

There were a few WTF coaching moments for Vogel especially in game 4 and 6, but to be honest I think calling out the flopping and officials rewarding it was pure genius. He paid for it, but it clearly got him legitimate results.

Not only was it the most fairly officiated playoff series I've seen against Miami or Wade/LeBron individually, they really didn't even try flopping. Against NYN they were flopping all over the place like a light breeze could blow LeBron all the way to China. I can't really remember many flops by LeBron or Wade in the Indy series at all. Even all time great flopper Battier kind of played like a real man for spurts instead of his usual act.

If every series and regular season was like Ind/Miami I wouldn't call Miami or LeBron/Wade floppers in the slightest. Against New York it was the complete opposite, and as if they needed the theatrics against NYN...they could have crushed NYN if LeBron played with one arm in a sling.

If Boston beats Philly I think they will give the Heat a good run. The old fellas will play hard till death. Spurs or Thunder will win it all though.

Miami will probably blow by Boston or Philly. They're getting Bosh back. Even if he isn't a scoring threat right away, he is still going to get attention. LeBron and Wade are in a zone right now and it may not be stopped.

They scored 69 points together last night.

Bosh won't be 100%...Probably will be more 75%. Boston will need to figure out how to take care of them...I don't think Philly would even win a game against the Heat.

Is that what closing a game out looks like? Because with about three minutes left to play and a six point lead LeBron scored on three consecutive possessions to put the game and series away.

I have no love for the Pacers so congrats Miami. Actually the further they advance just makes their eventual failure that much better.

Ignored because he didn't win a championship. Can't close.:jimlad:

It's the freaking conf. semifinals big deal. Call me when he does it on the biggest stage.

Haha, you are such a Bulls fan. Closing out games is closing out games and Lebron slammed that door shut last night. Sorry he didn't give you more evidence of "crumbling."

Like he did it to the Bulls last year in the Conference finals. He's been a closer in these playoffs I don't care what anybody else says. He hasn't hit a "game winning shot" because he takes care of business before that.

Finally enough of the garbage basketball as things now get real starting tonight with Thunder / Spurs I like both teams so I can can just sit back and watch.

He'll get his chance. I don't sse how they don't advance to the Finals, especially in light of this news:

2012 NBA playoffs -- Boston Celtics' Avery Bradley to undergo shoulder surgery - ESPN

Whoever wins Game 7 tonight will get their ***** handed to them in the Eastern conference finals.

Bradley's injury was really a killer for my Celts...he was the one elite wing defender who could take Wade and shut him down. Now that responsibility falls to Ray Allen, who can't move at all due to his ankles...wade will have a field day. Pietrus will probably see a lot of time on him as well. Prior to Bradley getting hurt I was holding out an admittedly biased 50/50 shot for the C's to beat the Heat, but with him out now, it will take a super-human series from Rondo, KG and Pierce to have a chance, and even the blind Celtic homerism in me says that is a major long-shot. That said...as long as this team is still alive they have a chance...lets go Celts.

I have even more respect for the Spurs now that I heard Sweet Caroline playing during that last timeout break.
