***Official Calm Down Post-Baylor Thread***

It's hard to get that upset about losing to a top 10 team, which has arguably as much talent as any team in the country. I didn't like how this game set up, with them having lost two straight and coming back home. They're not going to lose often in that situation.

It is very frustrating though to lose by double digits though. Games like this make me realize how important recruiting is. We have some good players, don't get me wrong, but we are quite a ways away from where Baylor is talent wise.

I hope Fred can get some tall, athletic guys like that to come here in the future.

White had his worse game as a Clone. He had issues with the lenght of Baylor at both ends of the court. Gibson matched up better because of his length and played well for the most part. If Booker wouldnt have ****ed up he would have matched up well also.

When your two best "matchup" players are bench players, you don't match-up with the other team very well.

I do agree that they have the right size, but neither are in the same class as far as athleticism or skill. Gibson might have the skill in a year or two though.

I think the poor shot selection from about 14 minutes left to 9 minutes didnt help. We took some threes from just inside half court it seemed. Fred got on the pretty hard to hopefully its a lesson learned.

I'll try to be brief.

The second half is the team we had seen prior to the last few weeks. Not sure what happened, if it was more us or ya'lls defense or a combination, but it was nice to see. As much size as we have, we are a shooting team. IMO, we started forcing things when a few shots didn't fall and got away from our strengths. When they do fall, it opens everything up.

First half was pretty ugly for both teams. As good as we were playing second half, ya'll kept up for the most part, better shooting and better Royce.

Had second half Royce shown up in the first half, things would have been different.

****** that we got out-rebounded. Good effort by your guys, but we can't give up 12 offensive and 26 total rebounds to a team like ISU. Seems to be an ongoing problem though.

I have little doubt it'll be a different game in ames.

Missouri has the formula that ISU needs to beat Baylor.

It is the same one that ISU used against Oklahoma. Hit a lot of 3's, and play good defense.

Missouri hit 14 of 28 3's to beat them. ISU hit only 8 of 23 tonight.

The outside scoring was just not there tonight from any of the guards. I don't see how ISU can win when that happens.

That might be a good formula for winning at home, but it isn't a good formula for winning on the road.

When MU beat BU in Waco, MU only hit 7/21 3-pt shots. However, MU had 31 FT attemtps, to BU's 11. That game was won at the FT line.

Counting on hitting 3-pt shots in a good team's gym is not a good plan for success. You need easy points. ISU only shot 8 FTs tonight. Gotta get to the FT line on the road. ISU isn't wired that way...yet.

Hopefully,
It helps when we don't shoot well and you guys shoot lights out.

Hoiberg wasn't pleased.

Got to bounce back. The Oklahoma game is scary. Good coach who will make the right adjustments.

Our guys are kind of at a crossroads. Didn't like the comment about no one stepping up to lead.

Fred and Eric just mentioned how pathetic Baylor's fan support was tonight. Arena was half full.

Again they thanked ISU fans for packing Hilton and being enthusiastic.

Really?!?! Had to say that? Serious arrogance in that statement.

Pretty fair breakdown. Good game out of you guys. And you're welcome for the slump buster!
