I really haven't seen anyone other than 21 and rebecca really being negative tonight. At least about the loss anyways.
I'm not trying to be negative -- there was little chance of winning and we are a good team. Beating Baylor at home was unlikely but that does not take away from the team ....... I love ISU basketball again and it's been awhile.

I'm not nearly as upset as I was after the Okie State game last week. Okie State sucks and we should have beaten them easily IMO.

Baylor is a bad matchup for us, no way to get around that. They are full of 6'9" and 6'10" long and athletic guys and we basically play with 4 guards and Royce White most of the time. Allen, Babb, and Ejim were all guarding guys WAY taller than them.

I still think we can get Baylor at home though if they don't make everything they throw up. All the dunks were depressing to watch and shouldn't happen even if they are taller than us if we play good defense. That will have to change for the next meeting.

Go KU tonight... and hopefully we can get OU and TT at home. Then if we can split between KSU and Baylor I think we're good to go.

They are not that bad and getting better. they also beat Mizzou.

Not a meltdown here. We played like we played at OU and at OSU. Weak, not agressive, no energy, rushed on offense, selfish at times, lazy at others. Our defense just breakdowns so much. We got a lot of young guys out there that just don't play hard enough all the time on defense. Guys that can do it, they just don't get it yet, they will eventually, this is a problem with almost all under classmen and JUCO players.

Though pretty much everyone was awful with the exception of Melvin. Gibson was good offensively, but he is just too young to really be effective defensively.

Scouting report is out on Royce, he needs to adapt and just slow down and people still won't stop him.

Ton of bad shots as well, very very rushed against that ****** zone. And that is what it is, a lazy poor zone and they got away with it tonight. Sucks. This is a team our guys should beat.

We rushed against the zone, there is no reason we should not destroy every zone we see. And I think with more prep work and now that we have seen it we will destroy it next time.

Why we went away from Royce at the high post I have no idea. Get him the ball there, let his square and face and we scored almost every time. Just too many options for Baylor to stop it, and then we went away from it.

I think if we play ok we are better than Baylor, and I think if we play well at home we can really make them look bad and blow them out. But we have to play better defensively, 11 dunks in one half is just a poor effort. Baylor doesn't scare me at all, really a **** poor game tonight.

OU won't be easy. Tech should be easy.

Baylor is a bad matchup for us. I have never seen a game where we have been dunked on so many times. Oh well. Crummy game but gotta move on. Go get 'em next game Cyclones!

Did you miss the last OSU game?

Was Dave Bliss reffing that game? Our post players were getting murdered under the basket all night and we didn't get 1 freaking foul called on Baylor. Bliss was up to his old tricks again.

We played poorly tonight. I didn't think we played terribly defensively in the first half but we couldn't buy a basket.

We really need Booker in a game like this for his length. Its unfortunate he did what he did tonight. We'll get them at home.

This. Early in the first half it looked like we were playing in fast forward. Head down and full speed ahead. Could kinda tell it wasn't going to be our night early on.

Zero enthusiasm, no rebounding, no emotion, (ties in with no enthusiasm) No blocking out, rebounds came to us as the ball fell. Chris Allen 1-13. The only real bright spot, Ejim, and Gibson, (nice job off the bench son)

Agree.

We have to get Scotty going again, he has had a rough few games here.

Missouri has the formula that ISU needs to beat Baylor.

It is the same one that ISU used against Oklahoma. Hit a lot of 3's, and play good defense.

Missouri hit 14 of 28 3's to beat them. ISU hit only 8 of 23 tonight.

The outside scoring was just not there tonight from any of the guards. I don't see how ISU can win when that happens.

  1. We don't match up to Baylor very well
  2. We had to be "hot" tonight to have a chance
  3. Royce had one of his poorer games
  4. The game plan didn't work (weren't shooting well)

White had his worse game as a Clone. He had issues with the lenght of Baylor at both ends of the court. Gibson matched up better because of his length and played well for the most part. If Booker wouldnt have ****ed up he would have matched up well also.

We get murdered like that every game. We should be used to it by now.

We had wide open looks in the first 10 minutes that weren't dropping like they usually do and Baylor had a stretch where they were hitting ridiculous hand in the face mid range jumpers.

We'll get them in Ames.

I suspect 50% 3pt shooting would be a formula for success in all our remaining games
