haha mizery fan thinks that big12 will negotiate a buyout with them, i think we sould get the full buyout thats 3.75 times 2 = 7.5 million, nice little start to the south endzone
Mizzoudork...MU has everything to do with the hold up and any aftermath. Had MU pulled the trigger on Monday as was expected, WVU was in. By stalling yet again, MU gave the Kentucky US Rep time to insert himself and his university into the process. Now WV US Reps are going to bat for their state. Again, had MU done what was expected on Monday, this isn't going on. It was reported that a deal with WVU, was worked out last Friday evening, nothing formalized, a deal in principal, the understanding was....when MU exited....a quick finalizing of said deal and WVU was a new Big XII member in 24-48 hours.

You are crazy if you think Mizzou is only going to have to pay $10 million to get out of the conference. A&M and Mizzou are each going to be paying over $20 million to leave for the SEC. These 2 teams leaving are nothing like the Colorado and Nebraska fiasco.
WVU could have pushed the "agreement in principle" out into the public early in order to head off interference by Sen McConnell on behalf of UL. It's clear that they are the source of media reports, because they were made BEFORE the Big 12 meeting that was called to address it.

No way. There is no way that A&M will leave.
Still, this seems like something we should have been discussing a long time ago. I don't like seeing this kind of surprise development this late in the game.
For one, the notice of departure was far sooner than MU and A$M. Thank you for paying us to lose in another conference.
Maybe Brady Denton running the B12 was the problem and not Dan Bebee. Things started to happen once he resigned.
I hope the Big 12 does stick the contract they signed to Mizzou. Can't afford it for now? Ok, cool, we'll take a 5 year payment plan with prime + 10% for good measure.
Does seem to have cleaned up after Deaton stepped down. Could have been he was dragging his feet to blow this up to save buyouts. If this has any truth, then we need to turn Ken Starr after MU.
Can't see the buyout less than 20 million for either school. At least Tammy just left. After MU leaves, I hope no big xii team will schedule any games with them.
Taking both is the only smart thing to do. I would be happy playing with 11 like the B10 did all that time.

MU is now getting everything they want and still is going to the SEC. They would look like fools, and the only reason for not jumping apparently is that most of the St. Louis fan base (and some big money guys) and the 'south of I-70' types have gotten used to the idea of being in the SEC. ********.
All of this after the conference all got together last year and agreed to all this and signed long-term contracts. It's pathetic and dishonest and they will PAY through the nose for their choices.
The mason jars and the yell leaders are really in for it when they go SEC. The stuff that will be thrown out by the good old boys will be ridiculous. Expect some great cartoons and stories.
