$25-30 million / 10 = $2.5-3.0 million per school
$25-30 million / 8 (original Big12 only) = $3.125-3.75 million per school
I see Missouri's education system left math classes off the priority list.
Missouri teaches math?

What rule says that the Big 12 has to wait for Missouri to formally withdraw before taking applications? Nobody's even formally APPLIED yet! This delay doesn't have anything to do with MU!
Several B12 members only want 10 teams. There's 2 schools interested in one opening. Some members want L-ville. Some want WVU. That's the delay.
This isn't about "dominoes falling." This is about coming to a settlement...nobody pays full buyouts. ISU stands to receive (assuming equal distribution this time) about $1M to $1.5M from MU in buyout money, I'm guessing. We're not talking scoreboard money, here. You can't even buy out Turner Gill's contract with that.
Nobody wants this done faster than Mizzou fans. But the admins aren't doing their jobs if they pay a larger buyout just to save some time.
These 2 teams leaving are nothing like the Colorado and Nebraska fiasco.
What about texas a&m? I hear they may leave....
How are they different?
Maybe Brady Denton running the B12 was the problem and not Dan Bebee. Things started to happen once he resigned.Mizzoudork...MU has everything to do with the hold up and any aftermath. Had MU pulled the trigger on Monday as was expected, WVU was in. By stalling yet again, MU gave the Kentucky US Rep time to insert himself and his university into the process. Now WV US Reps are going to bat for their state. Again, had MU done what was expected on Monday, this isn't going on. It was reported that a deal with WVU, was worked out last Friday evening, nothing formalized, a deal in principal, the understanding was....when MU exited....a quick finalizing of said deal and WVU was a new Big XII member in 24-48 hours.
The delay has nothing to do with negotiating exit fees, it indecisive leadership by Deaton.
I hope the Big 12 does stick the contract they signed to Mizzou. Can't afford it for now? Ok, cool, we'll take a 5 year payment plan with prime + 10% for good measure. What rule says that the Big 12 has to wait for Missouri to formally withdraw before taking applications? After neb and colb left, we all agreed we'd stay in the big xii
WHO CHANGED THE NAME OF THIS THREAD? I feel like my parents named me hitler, and I went through life getting ridiculed and finally decided to change my name on my own, but I just don't feel the same anymore.
The mason jars and the yell leaders are really in for it when they go SEC. The stuff that will be thrown out by the good old boys will be ridiculous. Expect some great cartoons and stories. We even agreed to give the damn Mason Jars extra money as a fraking payoff to keep them happy. What happens? They actually take the money unlike any program with a shred of integrity and continue talking with the SEC. They deserve nothing but scorn.
MU is now getting everything they want and still is going to the SEC. They would look like fools, and the only reason for not jumping apparently is that most of the St. Louis fan base (and some big money guys) and the 'south of I-70' types have gotten used to the idea of being in the SEC. ********.
All of this after the conference all got together last year and agreed to all this and signed long-term contracts. It's pathetic and dishonest and they will PAY through the nose for their choices.
