And, no he is not trolling for subscribers. I know him well, and he does not operate that way. Until yesterday, he was downplaying all as just smoke.

That doesn't matter. If ESPN.com reports something it doesn't matter who it comes from. They leak bad info and the entire company or website takes a hit. All I'm saying is that aggieyell.com has been wrong (just like most Rivals network sites). None of the big news sources have anything on this.

I'm confused as to why Texas A&M would leave the Big 12 to go eat beat up by Florida, Auburn, Alabama, LSU, and Georgia routinely. All they really had to worry about in the Big 12 was Texas and OU if they actually recruited like they should be able to.

OU/Texas will try to bring name teams to the league.

If the luring teams to the Big XII does not happen, Texas will rework ESPN or drop it entirely & OU/Texas/Tech/OSU will join Pac12

I agree that OU won't leave as long as the Big 12 retains its AQ for a BCS bowl.

Fair enough, but you have to expect people to be skeptical when the same website reported it as a done deal last year and was flat wrong, as well as actual news sources such as the Sporting News saying to hold on.

If the big 12 blows up, Texas to the Big 10 would be great entertainment at least to watch the huskers meltdown.

OU/Texas want name teams that won't hurt conference prestige, or their chances to win the conference. BYU, and long shots Arkansas and Notre Dame, could be interesting. UT and UA have SWC history, have scheduled each other for home and home series in the past, and do have a working relationship.

I think the Big 12 will re-invent itself, A&M is going to look like fools when they are getting beat downs in the SEC West (until half of it is on probation), and the sky won't fall.
