1600 am ip ban

driving home through CR today and the host of some show on 1600 was talking about the "A&M situation" in the big 12. they were looking for some tidbit of information, i cant remember exactly what, but the one show host goes (sort of under his breathe but clearly audible) :

"I went to look it up on cyclonefanatic but someone got the computer ip banned"

The 1600 guys are complete hacks when it comes to Iowa State athletics. If they have to talk about any college sports that don't involve Iowa, or by extension the Big 10, then they have not a clue what they're talking about.

Doesn't surprise me one bit their computer got banned, has to be some Squawk doing some stupid ****.

Great. So someone at Eastern Iowa's "Voice of the Cyclones" was trolling on CF and behaving badly enough to get banned? Nice. Very nice.

590 was blowing the same steam Wednesday, big 12 is gonna die. The dumb *** kNU guy was telling revisionist history about why Nebraska left the big 12. Then the dumb *** Michigan guy started in on how great the big 10 is and how there is no one school in control. Of course I didn't change radio, I just drove down the road screaming at it like a mental patient. Damn I hate that station.

The new afternoon show hasn't been bad. They are pretty good hosts and although they obviously love the hawks, they arent the typical arrogant and obnoxious followers that I thought they'd be. They are at least making an attempt at discussing ISU also.

The main problem with 1600 am is that when carrying a ISU game and it goes after 6pm you loose the station. I only live 45 miles from CR and it happens all the time.

Hey FCC, time to let these little stations broadcast at more power in nighttime hours. It is frustrating to think they can only broadcast across town sometimes at night and then you pick up the hoioligans from okie City and Dallas streaming in.

Sounds similar to Deace & Miller. They did ok talking about the Clones until conference realignment became the talk. Then Deace starting digging a hole for ISU and Miller started throwing dirt on it. Funny bit of karma.... ISU came out in a better position then anyone anticipated and Deace & Miller's show imploded.

the hack on 1600 is Balbinot. Before 1600 he was the voice of the Hoks on IC 800. He did play by play for WBB. Glad he is a Cyclone expert now. What a *****bag.
