Shawn Marion is not a PF. While he did a nice job playing D on Lebron James, a SF, he has played lots of 2 - guard and 3 if you go back to his Phoenix days.
Rodman was a bit of a freak. Early in his career, he got by on quicks - one of the few guys that could go step for step with James Worthy's spin move. His quick bounce allowed him to rebound with bigger guys. His job became to defend and rebound, but you are right that his height didn't stop him from playing bigger guys.
Most of the altitude-challenged folks on your list were one of a couple of things - either really thick or great offensive players. Barkley could score and rebound, but he wasn't confused often as a good onside defender. There was a great piece on ESPN one night when Charles said he scared Michael Jordan once. Jordan's version was he took one look at Barkley trying to get ready to play on the perimeter, started laughing, and had to pass the ball until he could get his composure back. Barkley could certainly rebound. Unseld played in a different era, but like Wallace, used his hair to look bigger than he was. Those guys were not just thick and strong, they had a bit of nasty too.
Not saying White can't have a shot, but Fizer couldn't stick, and he was thick, strong, a bit nasty and a scorer.
