While I agree that it's way too premature to have this kind of discussion, and that HB is clearly the more highly regarded NBA prospect, I thought I'd throw this out there. For the sake of argument only.
Where was Derrick Williams projected at this time last season? I'm honestly not sure, I'd never heard of him before last February. Both RW and Williams were big HS recruits. They seem to be a similar size and play a similar style (similar, not identical, we don't need height and weight stats listed here), playing for teams that had potential but not too many expectations. One huge season later and Williams is the Pac 10 player of the year and second overall pick. Not saying it will happen, only that everyone would have dismissed a Derrick Williams vs HB draft discussion as ridiculous before last season too. Whenever Barnes declares, he'll be one of the top picks and may well have gone ahead of Williams had he come out this year. Just solely for the sake of argument I'm saying that crazy things can happen and no one should be acting like anything's set in stone.
Clearly the OP was more impressed with RW's performance in the CCL than he was in watching HB in the CIML, and if we can ignore the wild conjecture regarding draft position, it might be a valid point. HB had 2 other D1 (barely) players on his team beating up on horribly overmatched teams that had none. So if we ignore the AAU circuit and the hype and the perceived potential of the respective players, it's not that crazy to say White looked like the better player.
