Sims information

I thought this was a thread about Sims....oh yea it is. Who gives a rats crack about some Iowa players. Go discuss that in one of the other 50 threads. This one is about Sims and any information regarding his case not some ******** hawkeyes.
Im with you man, I am just on here providing some light on an issue that happened 4 years ago, I am done talking about it.

CPR verified that Sims will be part of the team, even in the worst-case scenario.

Once again, Coach knows better than the Pitchfork and Torch, holier than thou message board crowd on here. So glad we have a coach who is reasonable, intelligent, and fair, rather than the reactive, impulsive "message sender" some of the crazy posters on here fantasize about.

This. Look... I trust the people that we have in charge of athletics at ISU and CPR. IF they decide that Sims can play after punishment for any wrong doing or if he is cleared of any wrong doing then that is the decision that I will support.

You are providing no light at all. You are providing statements which you cannot back up and ammo for people who want to point out irrational fans of a particular school.

It sounds like Sims has paid back the credit card company and will probably only be charged with a misdemeanor "unauthorized use" of the credit card or something like that. I suspect he won't miss much time.

Good to hear. Hopefully what transpired is a valuable lesson he can learn from.

I would say some ****, but it would probably get me kicked off, so I will end it, if you have an issue man just pm me.

Do us all a favor and say **** so you get banned..

And who freakin cares what happend at Iowa 4 years ago, You aren't providing anything, just stupid statements that make you look foolish. But Carry on if u must.

A source very close to the situation. Won't swear by it, but I think this is what's going to transpire.

Didn't you say the same thing when you said other things about the situation that didnt quite exactly pan out for ya? :wideeyed: And It wouldnt be a wise thing to do to go about a message board posting things if you're talking to someone whos close to the situation..

Whew!! I sure hope that is true! Maybe Im giving Sims too much credit, but I think the guy is a game changer.

What didn't pan out for him? As far as I can tell, nothing he has said has been incorrect. We are now dealing with Sims cooperating and doing the things he needed to make this right which changes the situation he was in. Had he not done these things he would be in serious trouble.

Can we please stop the internet wizzing match here? We should hopefully find out something official soon. I want to know as much as anyone else but arguing about it does not help.

You can go back and read yourself, but he was basically saying it was going to be a lot worse for David and what not. I can't remember the exact things.

He's a game changer on the field, without a doubt. He's as good as we've ever had at the position, imo.

I think this is the main reason why he's being given a long leash and I have no problem with it. I just wish that the coaches would've stayed out of it.

Also, if it's true that his charges are lesser because he paid the credit card company back, that's just completely stupid. I can't envision a scenario where what he did wasn't thought out and on purpose. Pretending to make it right after your caught doesn't lessen the offense.

Maybe it'll make sense as we learn more, but if anyone feels better about it because he paid the credit card company back, that's stupid.

After being caught, every person in the world would do the same thing. For some reason, they're not given that same opportunity.

"Hey, I stole your car. Here it is along with $9 in gas $$."
