Jordan Bernstine ""Morris" in trouble?

Iowa's QB (Arvel Nelson) didn't get a DUI. He was driving without a license or something along those lines. Just wanted to clear that up a little.

Nice.

I haven't heard of this wide-spread corruption of police and politicians (or other third parties, whomever that is) in Des Moines. Maybe someone "made a donation" to keep this out of the news?

Ever heard of a little thing called CIETC? Massively dirty and corrupt politicians, so much so that the feds are interested.

No...no...those CIETEC people just made a few mistakes. There wasn't any corruption there - these people are all saints!

:rolleyes5cz:

One detective is in trouble for something he did while off the clock? Stop the presses. While that is unfortunate, it is NOT an indictment of the entire police department.

I know... I just thought it ironic that after the corruption allegations were made I saw this story in the register online. Plus it sounds like these were personal issues; nothing to do with his conduct as officer.

Okay, this is at least an example of local political corruption. I don't see a connection with the Bernstein issue, but whatever.

I don't have any facts to back up my allegations other than the dealings that I've seen first hand with Des Moines law enforcement officials, south-side DSM politicians, and other third parties.

Yeah, Squawks get in trouble and it is everyone else's fault. See, I keep out of trouble, that way I don't have to blame others for what I do wrong. God watches over me because I am a ISU Alum.

So you can say because of Hindsight that the reason Chizik didn't recruit Jordan because he knew about his potential run-ins with the law. I'm throwing the BS flag on that one. There is no way to know a kid would have problems with the law unless Gene had a background check done on the kid.

Yeah, Squawker and if he had committed to ISU, it would be because he really wasn't that good anyway. How do you sleep at night?

I would think coaches run a background check on all their recuits. It is a business. Checks are fairly common.

They honestly did not know what they were doing was wrong.

Actually when I look at those salaries, they are not really that outta whack. I mean some of the people were only making $130K.
