I think you will be surprised. He is trying to get a scoop, not protect a football program.
I love it when a recruit has the big announcement on the news and calls a press conference and all that jazz. Then it comes time and he either does not have grades or breaks the law and winds up playing at some obscure JUCO.

This must have been the big news he was going to talk about last week concerning Bernstein. I'll bet the Hawk boards are going ballistic now.
I was just thinking about this thread from last week.....it all revolved around his bother and mother in seperate incidents being assaulted in hit and runs and then it was linked to supposedly Jordan and 5 others who had assaulted the individuals in retaliation. However, this is all heresay as i believe someone else had commented during that thread to the contrary...

If his mom and brother were the victims of assault and he retaliated, I'm not going to hold a whole lot against him. Not the best course of action, but I can't say with certainty that I'd be calm, cool, and collected if someone purposely hit my mom with their car.
Obviously, everything is pure conjecture at this point, so I'm speaking hypothetically. But if the two kids in the car who tried to hit the Bernstines were beaten as badly as the rumors say, I would still have a problem with that. I can understand why Jordan would be upset and maybe want to "send a message," but putting two kids in the hospital with (allegedly) life-threatening injuries is still a chargeable offense, in my opinion.
Where are these rumors stemming from? The only official news I've seen is the report from the link in the Register.
Check out the comments underneath the Register story. I suspect that 95% aren't worth the handful of bytes of computer memory they take up, but the picture painted there is that the driver of the car and his passenger were beaten pretty badly. Again, I have no idea how much stock to put in any of those comments, which is why I said in my previous post that I was speaking hypothetically.
What's the worst thing that can happen to Jordan? Even if the hawkeye gig doesn't work out, Jordan can always go to UNI and follow Benny Sapp's career path to the NFL.
So yesterday on Marty and Miller they said they would get to the Jordan thing in the Five o'clock hour, I'm guessing because their assumptions were shot down... Did anyone hear what they had to say about it yesterday?
The whole story sounds fishy. People don't go running into someone just because their kids are good at sports. I'm guessing there is more to this than is being said.
I heard he played, but didn't do much. He did get burnt deep for a touchdown one time though.
I agree...this thing has quieted down - interested to hearing what really happened and the outcome of all this.
