*OFFICIAL* MBB POST GAME: ISU @ Nebraska

Why is that negative? It is not.

It is an observation and a question...no negativity at all.

But for some reason you want to deem it negative...interesting.

We do lack identity. I would agree with that. You don't really know what to expect from this team night to night.

Any time you win on the road in the Big 12, it's a good win.

Nice job guys! Nebraska played Kansas tough earlier in the week.

We were able to get Craig the ball last year, and that team had no one else who could score.

Even when Craig had the ball tonight, he didn't look that good. He rebounded well, and that was big.

The problem, especially tonight, was an inability to complete a post entry past consistently.

Part of that was Nebraska's D, they are really quick, especially Anderson.

Part was also making the entry pass too slow, ESPECIALLY Garrett. Sometimes you have to make the entry pass immediately or it closes up, especially when we down screen to get Brackins open.

I wonder if someone looked at film of the Big 12 play last year, how many entry passes were made by Petey?

Listening to the ISU radio broadcast it has dawned on me that we have no identity as a team. We always seem to let the other team set the tone of play.

You know UNC is going to try to run no matter what. Back in the day you knew Arkansas was going to press (40 minutes of hell) and run. You expect UCLA under Howland to play lock down 1/2 court defense.

All of our 4 prior coaches had a certain style that they tried to impose on the game and the other team. We don't seem to have that under McDermott...do we?

You really have to talk about this after we WIN a Big12 road game for the first time in a loooonng time? I'm not too worried about it tonight. Everyone is in a happy. Keep it that way! I hate it when people ***** after a win!!!:realmad:

Great win, NU played hard, we have more talent. Great showing by Cyclone Alley. Its great to see more ISU students than UNL students.

Yes, Craig was doubled almost the entire game, as were all of our post players when they touched the ball down low. Fizer got the ball because he played with Tinsley, Nurse, and Horton. All excellent guards.

CB getting double teamed opened up Ham earily in the game. As the game went on CB got closer and closer to the basket taking that away.

I know you and your post history. Been around long enough that you've complained about Mac since day 1. You and I both know darn well you have an agenda against Mac.

And even the announcers commented that Nebbies D frustrates many teams and takes them out of their game.

We seem to lack identity only because we lack an offensive juggernaut. Brackins has just been too quiet this year. Yet to be seen if he gets it going or not.

Just listened to the post game interview with CB...very impressed with his eloquence and attitude. I wish those of you that keep banging on this kid would stop it...sounds like a great ambassador for ISU BB (not to mention a great player).

Reminded me of how embarassing it was to hear Lafester interviewed back in the day...that guy could not speak coherently at all.

I think it is a huge positive sign that we won, on the road, and Craig only scored 6 points. He still pulled down double digit boards. We needed Craig to go off last year just to have a chance to be in the game. Hopefully, that means we have another gear when he is scoring well.

I'm really scratching my head at his lack of scoring. Lottery picks can get the ball nearly anywhere and make a play.

I believe, currently, you are the only one still complaining after this win...

Too bad my post was not ********.

Did anyone else notice our guys doing a better job of finding a guy to box out tonight instead of everybody jumping toward the rim for rebounds tonight??? I actually saw one time when every Iowa State player boxed out and the ball hit the ground after a missed Nebraska shot...which of course we grabbed after the bounce.

All in all..a better rebounding game.

The bandwagon jumping on this site cracks me up.

Last weekend you were the same guys that swore up and down that ISU would only win 2-3 games in conference and said I was crazy for expecting 8-9.

What a difference a well played loss and a poorly played win can make with a fan base. Or should we all be bracing ourselves for just one more win the rest of the way?..

False and False.

If anyone has an agenda, it is you my friend.
