Just got a release from Ames High School. The press conference will begin at 3 Friday afternoon at Ames High. ESPNU will begin their coverage with the big Harrison Barnes announcement at 3:10.

I'll be there reporting for CF.

Is it going to be streamed online anywhere? I don't have ESPNU at work.

Serious question -- will CF be down at all Friday? Will the server be able to handle the traffic? I was having problems after the Nebraska game.

After reading the official press release, I'm thinking that it'll be streamed on the local stations websites. I may be wrong, but hopefully not.

We are actually switching to a dedicated server in the middle of the night tomorrow. We do not anticipate having any problems. Trust me, I've thought of this already. I appreciate your concern.

I've never followed recruiting all that much but I WILL be in front of a TV on Friday afternoon.

Chris, who are they letting in the door. Is this by invite only??

There will probably be a guy on phog.net that will stream it. I'll try to post more details on Friday morning or early afternoon for those at work or without ESPNU.

The release I got said the "public is invited."
That can only mean one thing to me: HB's coming here. No way they would do that if he was going somewhere else. No way.

i also think the public allowed entry is a good sign... but really means nothing..

That is kinda interesting, I know their will be a lot of Cyclones with fingers crossed for this thing since the situation of a #1 recruit being in Ames prolly won't happen again. I know NO ONE should boo this kid no matter his decision but you gotta think why would they open up the possibility of that?
