I called it earlier this week... if our volleyball team beats NU, then our football team would beat NU today.

Volleyball won.

Football is winning at half. One more to go!

GO STATE!

I wouldn't be surprised to see it honestly. Does anyone know if Green has any game experience?

He has experience looking good against sun belt teams in blowouts. He also has experience looking not ready for prime time in contested games against BCS conference teams. The fact that he hasn't gotten any snaps yet today shows that the NE coaching staff is concerned about the bad reads that he has made against good competition. If he plays, we need to put pressure on him.

We have a great opportunity here.

Anyone that watched that first half knows that we have been lucky. But as ISU fans, we are still way behind in the luck category, so I will take it when I can get it.

I have been impressed all season long with CPR's second half adjustments and think we will see more of the same.

(1) We are getting too predictable with first and second down runs trying to shorten the game. Don't know if we need a change for JS, I will trust the coaches.

(2) I expect NU to switch to Green. We need to bring some increased pressure. If Green has the time Lee had in the first half, we are smoked.

Let's not forget that this is an outstanding NU defense, they are playing at home, and we are without our starting QB and best overall player (ARob). This is a gutsy ISU team and I hope we can find a way to steal this one.

Typical Iowa State fan. I'll let you guys take the Half-Time lead, and we will win the game? Deal?

I'll take the W at the end as well, half time score means little, just find it funny that you are here talking smack while your team is losing.

All I can say is wow. I can't believe we are up 9-7 AT Nebraska WITHOUT our 2 best offensive players, and some people are still complaining. Lets rally around the incredible effort we are getting from the team this year, the great coaching, and the heart, and take the luck that we're getting so far and get this win!

can someone fill me in on "booo Urns"?

Will Herman open up the playbook in the 2nd half? I say yes.

Boo-urns is from the Simpson's episode where Springfield holds a film festival. Mr. Burns makes a ridiculously bloated, arrogant biopic about his life. After the movie, Springfield residents boo him, and Mr. Smithers tell Burns that they aren't saying "boo" they're saying "Boo-urns."

And I don't know how much room Herman has to open it up in the second half. With a RS Freshman QB & RB, I think you stick with simple plays that they can execute well. No wildcat, reverse, etc.

How come when Neb turns it over it is a "give-away." If their defense gets one it is a "take-away"??
