My biggest beef was going to the endzone with 1:30 left. Why would you WANT to score and give KU 1:30 to operate? I agree run the ball, get inside the 10 with less than :30 and see what happens.
You would trade 6 points (plus possibly 1 or 2 more) at 1:30 for no points at 0:30?
You talk like ISU is presently some kind of dominating team that can run clock and score at will when they've taken enough time off. This situation was against KU, a top 20 team, in Lawrence, not NDSU at Jack Trice.
I would want to score at 1:30 left in the game, because it would give me the lead, which is a good thing to have near the very end of the game.
