Maybe this has been discussed. Are they allowing us to leave at halftime and re-enter? Pollard had said once when all of the restrooms and concessions were completed that this option would probably end. Has anyone confirmed this for this year?

A lot of people thought that when they finished the East side concourse renovations that there would be a No Re-Entry policy. However, according to the ISU website:

"Patrons must have a ticket stub and their hand stamped (received upon exit) for re-entry into the stadium. Re-entry will be allowed only at gates 2 and 4. Re-entry will not be allowed before kickoff or after the start of the 4th quarter. "

Seriously, I know people like to go back to their tailgats and drink a half dozen beers during half time, but if you cant make it back to the game before the second half, don't leave the stadium. It is embarassing seeing huge chunks of empty seats for second half kickoff.

Seriously, I agree.

It might help if we're winning more games too.

Even in our best years, the same thing always happened. I vote we jut start selling beer. More butts in the seats and more money for renovations. What do you think Jamie!?!

I vote we don't start selling beer AND we not allow re-entry. THAT is the way is should be.

Now...call me a party pooper/fun hater if you must.

Seriously, NOT the way it should be. Either sell beer (which won't happen) or allow re-entry. Just close re-entry as soon as second half kickoff happens or is about to happen.

Yeah, just stay in the stands during half time and smuggle 12 cans of beer in. That's what most of my friends usually do. Unfortunately, it works best during the cold games when everyone has their big puffy coats.

I could live with this. You can leave, but if you aren't back by kickoff, you can't get back in. I think that would keep hundreds, if not thousands in the stadium.

Still would prefer no re-entry all together though.

Maybe if the team was halfway decent, I'd feel bad about missing the 2nd half kickoff. Lately, the tailgating has been more enjoyable than the games. I don't feel one bit bad about missing half/most of the third quarter. They have my money, so I'm doing my part to help the program. Start playing better and keep my interest. Last year I don't think I saw the second half of any home game after KU.

Brilliant! :notworthy:

So you don't feel the need to support your team after halftime? Do you think it is impossible to come back in a game and win? I know it is not that common for ISU, but it can happen. If more people did the same the team would come out of halftime to hear nothing but the band.

The last couple years...YES

No, I guess I don't feel the need. If any of those games were actually close at half (or midway through that 3rd quarter since we're either watching on TV or listening on the radio in the lots), I would come back to my seat.

I'm glad that other people stay to watch the band and are there when the team takes the field for the second half, but I'm not going to be one of them. Other than that, I do my part...NCC, CGC, ISUAA. But the second half of games recently have not been very enjoyable. Our tailgates have been way more enjoyable than watching ISU get beaten down and give up.

Is that worded correctly?? They won't let you back in until AFTER the kickoff? I wonder what the reason is for that.

Too many people entering the gates before the game.

Well, I hope we are winning or close in every home game this year (except maybe Okie State) so you can stay in your seats. My goal is that the games get way more fun and just kill your tailgate experience!
