I'm very curious for those of you in Chicago. What is the report? I've searched on X and the BookFace some before and after the game on fan posts and not seeing much from their fans. Are they giant aholes like the Kentucky fans or better? More appreciative and cordial I hope.

They were all pretty nice. Chatted with them before the game and they were giving lots of compliments to our team. After the game had several say they were sorry that someone had to lose.

Section 321 had some big time dooshers. One kid especially that was wearing a manning jersey.

they largely weren’t expecting to win but all of them were nice and complimentary of Iowa state. Had a few buy our group of people drinks

Generally SEC fans are great. It's the B10 fans that are the worst.
Agree. There's a few teams I could think of with obnoxious fanbases in the SEC, but in general Big 10 fanbases are cocky windbags by comparison.

Tennessee fans have always been cool in my experience. SEC is more fun to drink with. Some Big 10 team fans just love to backhand compliment and condescend like it's their second language.

I sat a few rows behind the Tennessee band. They were annoying, but in the usual pep band way, nothing particularly about us. The fans near us were very cool. Interestingly, none of them still live in Tennessee! I was able to take a video of one of them on jumbotron and airplay it to him. He was super grateful and said his grandkids wil love it.

Perhaps the most heated interactions I saw were started by Charlie Kolar (backed up by Jake Hummel, Mike Rose, and other former football players) in the concourse trash-talking a group of Tennesseee fans. One woman in orange and white came up to Charlie and looked at him right in the chin and gave him the business. It was really fun. I don't think they knew that they were dealing with an NFL player who is also really smart and good at competitive banter. He held his own with a whole group of Tenn fans.

One more thing. Both the Tennessee fans and the Michigan fans (only saw a few Alabama fans) seemed surprised by how loud and aggressive our fans were cheering on defense, even as the game was nearly over. You would have thought it was a close game by the behavior of Cyclone Nation.

The band had this wierd chant during free throws. "Chick-fil-A, Chick-fil-A, Chick-fil-A." If an opponent misses both free throws at Tennessee home games, all the students in attendance get something free from Chick-fil-A.

Oh that's awesome just knowing all those guys were in attendance.

Weird take…. hope that happens with a bunch of Iowa football players sometime. I’ll make sure to check back to see what everyone thinks.

And honestly, all I had to hear were Big Ten fans are worse than SEC fans holy smokes man…. every football season every SEC fan base just assumes their God’s gift to football and Will smash any Big Ten or big 12 team….

Proof positive that people only see what they want to see…. But that’s a human nature thing. I promise you if you were on the Tennessee message board they’d be talking trash about Iowa State and the big 12 just like you guys do in the Big Ten. It’s how fans are.

Online fans are different from in person fans. Sans a few fan bases, like Iowa.

K-State fans in person are great. But their online fans might be some of the worst ones on the internet.

Yeah that kid sucked, thought someone was going to punch him lol, was sitting right behind him.
His friend wearing the bibs apologized to some people in the area but yeah the Manning jersey kid was really pushing the envelope.

I'm glad most of you that went seemed to have a good experience with them overall. There's nothing more of a buzzkill than losing and having awful fans of the opposing team make a scene and rub salt in the wound.
