***Official 2026 NCAA Tournament Thread***

I sure hope someone pulls Spanarkel aside and tells him how to pronounce Heise’s name. I’ll pull out the little hair I have left if I hear HyZee again.
I think it is Spero Dedes who is the HyZee guy.
FWIW, I like the Dedes-Spanarkel combo.
And I rarely like announcers!

Michigan has won their last 8 Round of 32 games. (They are the anti Iowa)

That’s awesome & true about Zion’s…with that said if Michigan lost today to St. Louis, and I’m a lifelong closet Billikens fan. They’ve had some pretty salty teams from time and time over the last 40 years and I’ve always been there to jump on the bandwagon… But it ain’t happening & if it did, it would be one of the bigger upsets of all time

Michigan is the real deal… and I’ve noticed a couple people in here suggesting the big 10 is average and listen. I am a big 10 fan, but I’m very realistic. There have been a lot of times in the past where many conferences ACC, Big 12 and yes, especially the Big Ten have come into the season with a **** ton of teams and looked like trash, but that hasn’t happened this year.

They went 7-2 in the first round and they looked pretty damn impressive doing it. The women’s teams look pretty damn good too, so I’d say hoping the big team is average probably isn’t a good philosophy.

Illinois, Michigan, Michigan State and Purdue, though I cannot stand Purdue, are all legitimate final four type teams

Just like Iowa State is…

More importantly, does anybody give TCU a shot at beating Duke? That would be awesome. I don’t know a ton about TCU. I watched a little of the Ohio State game, but do they have a shot?

I agree that Michigan is an elite team. Their weaknesses are their guard play and inside scoring. I am still not convinced that Credeau is a good guard. He was not good at North Carolina. Also, Mara is terrible offensively.

What? Mara shoots 68% from the field and 2.5 assists.

He looked pretty good last night…. I’m not sure they have very many weaknesses. Now to be fair I watched Iowa State play this year more than any other men’s team so I’m not necessary ann authority, but I follow boxscores. I know how to read metrics and I haven’t ran into too many people that suggest Michigan has very many weaknesses.

In fact, my uncle, a huge Iowa stayed alum and a huge Iowa State fan and still involved with the university put a daughter through Michigan and a daughter through Wisconsin and he told me he thinks Michigan is probably the best team.

I personally think it’s Arizona… With Iowa State right there in the mix and then the Michigan’s and Michigan states and Illinois and Dukes of the world

But I don’t think you’ll find too many people agreeing they have many weaknesses
