Once again with the "Best Conference in Basketball" by Kevin Connors but only 8 teams projected in the Field of 68 while ACC = 8, B1G = 9 and SEC = 11. What up? Something doesn't add up! Why is this not discussed more?
The 'main desk' host who's on-site is going to say a variation of this at every P4 tournament. The Deepest Conference, The Most Dominant Conference, etc. Their job is to sell viewers on sticking around

That's a great lineup for Wednesday afternoon onward in my opinion! ESPN's two best lineups in Bilas and Shulman, and Sciambi and Fraschilla. Definitely enjoy these announcers.

So much better than King McClure.... haha.

I initially wanted to play ASU again over Baylor but with how disinterested Baylor is, I hope they come back and win.

I think we handle either team tomorrow though.

People who see the box score won't know that while Arizona State's offense has been pretty good, they've been playing against little to no ball pressure. Needless to say, that is...not Otz's philosophy

I was at that game, it was fixed.
It was brutal. The refs should always follow this: Let the players decide the outcome and don't make the officiating stand out as a main decider. This is especially important in the Tourney. Nobody wants to see star players DQ'd on touch fouls or one team with twice as many fouls.

Baylor had multiple chances to cut it to 5 with like 45 seconds left. I guess they saved all their garbage time buckets for Hilton. typical

So previously the mid majors were full of players who could hack it at the P4/5 level?
Not full of but for sure had some guys who were late developers, had a late growth spurt or have turned themselves into P4 caliber players after a couple years of good coaching. Those guys no longer stay in the mid majors but jump to the power conferences now

Tough season for Baylor.

BYU took their PG, and despite two nba draft picks still on the roster, will end their 6-yr tourney streak.

There are a lot of kids that just don't fit but raise the overall talent of a mid. Kids that transfer down are still more talented than the kids mids used to have access to.
Not usually, if they had the talent they would have gotten on at a power conference team. Some guys just don’t play up to their recruiting for a wild variety of reasons.

If they were to win tonight I think a little. Santa clara is already considered in by most but now they'd be an AQ and be in field of 64.
I've watched them the last 2 nights and I must say that I'm impressed with how offensively skilled they are. They had a guard last night that I'd love to see TJ go after in the portal hitting step back 3 after step back 3.

That said, I don't think they see a lot of tough defenses in the WCC. I'll be proceeding with caution with them when I make my bracket next week.
