Can't turn all the lights on. All the power is being diverted to run the technological marvel that is a grey floor.

Those guys that transfer down though are only there because they couldn’t hack it at the P4/5 level. That either means they were a recruiting miss or that they just don’t have the skill to play at the highest level. That doesn’t make a mid major better it just makes them have more mediocre players

There are a lot of kids that just don't fit but raise the overall talent of a mid. Kids that transfer down are still more talented than the kids mids used to have access to.

Predictably, Baylor and Arizona State could barely hit rim for the first ~eight minutes, but are feeling it now. usually how things go in teams' first game on a neutral court. worries me a bit for the start of tomorrow's game, but hopefully Iowa State settles in too

The choice to run gray floors for this is such a ****** one. Like, you have this technological marvel of a floor and you go with gray as your color choice?

Should have stuck with a more natural-looking design with effects showing up during breaks

I worry that if even the best shooters are struggling early, he will as well and will go into his shell, but maybe a change of scenery will get him out of his head, yes

Can't get much worse at this point. He hasn't hit a three in almost a month (Feb 16th).

It all depends on the crew. That's always a danger when you play a physical, aggressive style. If the refs go full ticky-tacky mode for a tourney game, you'll be dealing with potential early exit foul trouble.

Remember Niang vs Virginia at the United Center? 2 ridiculous early foul calls on him helped change the trajectory of that one.

I was at that game, it was fixed.

Arizona State certainly has not quit, and aren't just counting their transfer offers like I thought might be the case. Though as @Cyclonepride said, Baylor isn't even pretending to play defense

I think it looks cool, but the lighting overall sucks

I wonder if Drew has checked out. He can still recruit well but his teams are light years behind in playing together like they used to. Maybe he tries to convince a school with better NIL resources to take him in the hopes that he can retain talent instead of replacing his whole team every year.

Once again with the "Best Conference in Basketball" by Kevin Connors but only 8 teams projected in the Field of 68 while ACC = 8, B1G = 9 and SEC = 11. What up? Something doesn't add up! Why is this not discussed more?
