Tang gonna Tang

Damn. KSU down 30-11 to Cincy at home (KSU was +2.5)

And a lot of fans in student section wearing paper bags on their heads. Yikes.

Even during that abysmal Steve Prohm season I don't remember ISU fans doing anything remotely close to that.
Wasn’t that the Covid year though?

He completely lost the locker room. I seriously wonder if they might have some guys that decide to shut it out and enter the transfer portal. Nobody wants to play for a coach that throws you under the bus and takes no accountability.

I know KSU fans think Tang will accept a lower buyout, but I also think Tang is stubborn enough to believe he can turn it around and refuse to take anything less than 18 mil if fired.
It's suggested a lot that KSU "negotiates" a lower buyout with him, but I don't know what incentive Tang has to do that. So he can go get another sweet deal elsewhere? I don't know who in their right mind would hire this guy right now.

i would assume the only incentive/leverage is to give the negotiated amount to him now in a lump payment or he receives the full buyout annually in installments over the length of contract.

Haha, if you watch his full postgame presser, it's pretty great. He says he'll take two questions. Second question is what did he think of the student section wearing the bags on their head. "I'd wear a bag too if I was them" haha.

Could the donors who fund K-State's NIL say "Our money is now to go exclusively to paying towards Tang's contract until he's gone"? Just gut the players' NIL and put it all towards paying Tang? Would at least speed up the process by a few years.

I would guess if they can't negotiate shutting with him, they become hypervigilent on things that could be considered for cause.

Will Tang get any NIL money next year to field a team or just have only the scholarships ?

I'm trying to think as a sports fan if I've ever taken more enjoyment in watching another program totally implode and I'm just not sure I ever have...
I'm actually starting to feel a little bad for him, but I think it might just be because I'm not on Twitter anymore interacting with the obnoxious chronically-online sector of the Kansas State fanbase.

Did any of the K-State players get interviewed last night at the presser? I'd love to hear one go scorched earth on how terrible Tang is.
