It was 16:30 to 9:00 in the second half that killed us. We missed 10 straight shots while they made 7 straight, including 4 straight three pointers. made 7 of 13.

I hadn't seen much of UC before today but would have hated the match up for their length.
Thought KU was more favorable though.

If you took records and rankings and threw them out the window, and told a casual basketball fan to watch this game and summarize which team is better coached, has better talent, and just flat out passes the eye test, Cincinnati would be the unanimous response every time. Horrible, ugly, embarrassing loss to a non NCAA Tournament team that will be looking for a new coach 2 months from now. TJ and co. have got to do better.

This was my thought watching this game. TJ says he wants Milan to take 10 3pt shots a game, but our offense seems to be focused on get it to Jefferson and let him dribble until he turns it over, misses a layup or gets fouled. Even if the first pass is to JJ, his first look should be out to Milan. There are so many trips down the court where it doesn’t even look like we have a real offensive plan. The D wasn’t good today, but it’s our lack offense and the turnovers that are killing us.

Winner. To make matters worse, the situation is similar on the offense. ISU is easy to defend when they don't have a clear athletic advantage, and the staff doesn't have any "new wrinkles" for that situation either.
29% of 300 shots on goal will get you a LOT of points. That is s silly number, but it illustrates what happened. Percentages without context mean nothing.

Sequence of returns risk, but for shooting percentage. Sure, overall they didn't shoot well from three but I remember and least two times where Cincinnati made 3-4 threes in a row as part of a big run. Those were killer.
Cinci only needs to move 11 spots for this to be a Q1 loss. If they keep playing like this, they should easily get there.
