Heard he's been approached not sure if interested. Might be only way Rocco would finish here.

I like Rocco and glad he’s our QB. But does hiring the guys dad to keep him for 1 more year really make a difference? Gotta think long term an in the best interest of the program, not 1 QB with 1 year of eligibility left.

I don't begrudge anyone taking the money, but comparing someone making $75K taking $150K instead is apples to oranges to $5M versus $10M. Campbell should get as much money as he can, but his day to day life is not going to change at all because he can now afford more stuff. 99% of the rest of us would have MASSIVE changes if our income doubled.

This is easy to say when going for $5M to $10M (and his salary might be more than that) isn’t an option.

Matt Campbell has been an amazing coach for our school. I would have loved having him longer, but I don’t think he owes us anything…and the timing isn’t horrible. (There’s never going to be a good time.). Would have loved a shot at Golesh…that’s about my only “regret” timing-wise. I imagine Heacock’s impending retirement may have played into this.

I can’t really say I hope Matt wins a CFP championship now though. That seems disingenuous. I hope ISU wins a championship…with whoever we now have at coach.
