***Official 2026 World Cup Thread***

If the US is ever going to make a run at the Cup, this is the year. Not only did we win our group in 2 games, but we have probably the most ideal path to the quarters, if not the semis, and we don't leave the West Coast until then. It's as favorable of a draw as we're ever going to get.

Position on the field? No, it means very little when two ****** teams are playing. Both Paraguay and Turkey are ****** teams. Overall, Turkey is probably better, but an early 1-0 score in favor of the slightly less crappy team makes up for the difference.
Not trying to make you mad. Have a good one

Some people are going to hate this, but next Thursday if I were making the decisions I’m absolutely not playing Pulisic and I’m at least considering sitting anyone that has a yellow card. The Türkiye game means absolutely nothing outside of pride at this point.

I don’t know why you would hate it. The game has zero riding on it. Türkiye has been eliminated, so they’re not going to worry about hard fouls or cards. I would play 11 backups in this one. No one is in the running for the golden boot. The only negative is the disappointment from the fans that have supported you so much. But, Pot has talked about winning the tournament now. And that’s the best thing to do to win the tournament.

This is why the sport doesn’t take hold in the US. The flopping is way worse than the nba. And why can’t they have more than one referee? Hockey has four refs in a shoe box.

This would be like showing a Euro only Iowa football and then saying this is why the sport doesn’t take hold over there.
