Lando would be stupid to even try and pass Max. Just hang out behind him the whole race and you are the champ. Then again McLaren has not exactly been the smartest team this year. Thank Goodness for them they have a Rocket they are driving
McLaren has gone full Ferrari... and you never go full Ferrari.
My prediction is a lot more boring. I think Lando qualifies on the front row and a podium is never really in doubt. It'll be But I'll be up at 7am to watch it live, I'm not risking a spoiler.
I don't see how there will be any reason that Lando would need to aggressively cover Max though.
Lando is a head case, and will over think it. I just can see it happening, idk why.
Even if Russell is in the mix McLaren have two cars so they have the flexibility they love so much. If Max is winning they’ll swap cars if Oscar is ahead.
That's what REALLY interests me... Let's say there's 10 to go and there's a safety car.
1. Max
2. Kimi/George
3. Oscar
4. Lando.
Does Oscar swap, or does he finally get pissed off and say no.
Williams is trending up under Vowles and I expect that to continue. Love to see that.
I expect probably two of the three new major manufacturers (Red Bull and Ford, Caddy and Audi) to fall flat on their face because history tells us that's probably what will happen.
Ferrari is Ferrari.
My guess is Merc comes out with a good car and fights with McLaren for most of the season under the new regulations. They seem to be the teams with their **** together right now and are functioning like high level teams should. I'm betting that will translate into the new cars.
True and as much as Piastri would hate it, he'd do it.
My ultimate hope is Carlos pulls a Leeeeeroy Jeeeeeenkinsss and throws up the double birds as he takes another podium and ***** up the whole works. And then somehow Max still loses.
idk man, i just have a feeling Oscar is at a breaking point... i want to see if just for ****'s and giggles.

I've never gotten the feeling that Oscar is a bad teammate or that he and Lando aren't friendly though. I'm sure he's frustrated, but his performance since the summer break has not been good and it's mostly on him.
If he didn't and Max won, McLaren would and should start shopping around for his replacement. He's a good driver but something tells me neither Zak nor Andrea would tolerate gifting a championship to a rival and disobeying team orders on that scale. Piastri would put the nails in his own coffin.
I agree. I really think he would swap. i also think he would start looking for a new team for when his contract is up. However, he has to be smart enough to realize he put himself in this spot by driving the way he has the last 8 or so races. If it were not for Lando's car dropping oil pressure in one race this would be over and Lando would be the winner.
This is the part. Okay, he botched it down the stretch for sure here. If next year they're competitive and he's still getting the short end of the stick on team decisions, then Weber will be shopping him to a new team for sure.
I feel like the on-track racing is so boring you're making up wild scenarios to try make it somewhat interesting.
They'd swap and the meltdown from RB and RB fans would be incredible. Minus Max, have a feeling it wouldn't actually bother him that much.
