I could could see it happening. Vettel did it to Webber in the Multi 21 thing so Webber is probably telling Oscar to do what it takes to win, team orders be damned.

I could be reading more into this than it deserves and I understand the regs, but the plan was to put Pato in Oscar’s car in FP1 in a race he is fighting the world championship in?
Each team has to do that so many times per season. McLaren must have really drug their feet on it.
Yeah usually they get it over with at the start and middle of the season. Why would they let it drag on to the last race. That is crazy
They have known they were in the title fight for a few races I think, and it was going to be close. Maybe there is some benefit to Abu Dhabi and rookies? No idea, but I want as many laps as I can get if I am Oscar.
I think they chose months ago though, either way I don’t think FP1 makes that much difference
I think if you look at the schedule after summer break and take away sprint weekends and road courses you really only have a couple options. Mexico gets picked a lot for the same reason.
Yeah, he can just let Max go now. Maybe Max tries to stack them up in the chicane or something.
Russell is the only car that has a chance to mess with them but I doubt he's fast enough to really be a problem.
Rumor mill I'm seeing is John Elkann is going to push Freddy Vasseur out the door for Christian Horner. In my opinion Freddy isn't the problem with that team it's whoever their strategy lead is and they've got some problems on the technical side. Granted that falls on Freddy to solve and he hasn't figured it out yet.
he may not be the problem but in my opinion if Horner is out there, you get him. Love him or hate him, he has a massive proven track record of winning and hiring excellent drivers. Here are the driver's that came from Red Bull
