'People are flat-out slobs': Jamie Pollard

I didn’t dive in, but would like to know what it does for other concession sales. I would think it helps increase the sales of everything else.
I don't know about other concession sales, but I'm certain urinal usage increased significantly. Perhaps install pay urinals too?

Some sobering (pun definitely intended) revenue numbers on alcohol sales

This does only include games in August and September. Hopefully this gets refreshed after the season

For Wisconsin, this data would be missing the Iowa and Ohio State games (both blowouts so that likely impacts sales if people are leaving early).
Wisconsin also has upcoming home games against Washington and Illinois

Still pretty good numbers for Wisconsin, averaging ~$1M in revenue per game.
I'm guessing operating costs, insurance, licenses, etc cut into that pretty good.

Outside of Wisconsin, not the big money maker some think it would be
With the season Wisconsin is having I’m not surprised they are running to the beer.

Considering how many fans I see going to gopher games up here. I find it hard to imagine Iowa state wouldn’t be above them in revenue.

I will never be convinced of the fact that I am unable to pay for and enjoy an Ames Lager or Cyclone Power/Forever True beer inside of Jack Trice Stadium is the right decision.

The fact I have to sneak them in and people all around me in my section are drinking shooters of fireball or whatever beer or liquor of choice...is the better option. Because people HAVE to face the fact whether they like it or not, people are going to drink within JTS whether it is against the rules or not.

Slobs Unite!

I've always been annoyed when I hear an advertisement of whatever beer company sponsoring ISU athletics yet we can't buy it at the games.

Beer is sold at Iowa State sporting events. This post is a bit misleading. I’ve had beers in both Hilton and Jack Trice.

I hope the new president does talk to Jamie about opening this up to the masses.

Yes but the FargoDome is city owned so NDSU has no control over concessions.

They do sell beer in limited sections in their basketball arena.
Selling beer in limited areas you say? Seems familiar

JP is right…. people are flat out slobs…. but yet he still lets them drink for hours and hours before the games in the tailgating lots, and then go back out there for more at halftime.

So…. he’s a hypocrite on this. Just sell it in the stadium already, and don’t let people leave at halftime.

Not to the general public though.

Another issue to consider if they sell beer to everyone, they got to do something to upgrade Sukup. Most people in sukup are there because it allows them to drink and attend game. Who want to sit in the endzone if the key privledge is kind of taken away and accessable to the masses.
