Supposedly, we got an email on Nov 7 telling us how. Don’t bother looking for the email. I just did it and it takes about a minute. Fortunately, my iPad saved my password so I didn’t have to struggle with that.

How to claim your YouTubeTV credit.
  • Go to tv.youtube.com on web browser and sign in. The credit is not accessible on YouTube TV's mobile app.
  • Select your profile picture in the upper right corner.
  • Select Settings.
  • In the left menu at the very bottom, select Updates.
  • Select Claim credit.
After you’ve claimed it, a confirmation message will appear indicating that the credit will be applied to your next bill.

I got my email today...and such BS that I have to "request" it...just give everyone a $20 credit! Or charge everyone $20 less! Also...when I went to "Membership" it was not there! But when I clicked on the link directly in the email they sent me it took me to the site to "request" the $20 credit. Intentionally confusing...

It is the same concept as rebates from Menards...they can advertise the lower price but many people will never send the rebate form in so they pay full price. Now in this case, people may be annoyed enough that they do it, but you are right, it should not be this way.

I’m sure they figure non sports people won’t care to claim and half the sports people won’t figure it out saving them millions of dollars

And why does it have to be from a desktop? Why can't they bake this into their mobile app? Oh yeah...I am sure they can...but that would make it easier for people to request a credit!

I have a thick stack of Menards rebate money. I love when I spend it and then send in another rebate request form. Makes me feel like I'm cheating the system.

Thanks- I haven't received my email yet but I signed in and went to settings/updates and claimed it.

I also have not yet received the email. I assume they are deploying in waves to prevent the website from becoming innundated.

Or if anyone has ever tried to get the rebate on contacts...

Makes their PR battle of "poor little us vs the big bad mouse" ring pretty hollow when you still jerk around your customers to save a few bucks.

I found I had to google YouTube tv settings.

When I just went to tv.youtube.com, it kept showing the page for new customers but wouldn’t let me log in (I was doing it on the browser on my phone)

My email appears to be different than what most of you are describing...It appears I don't need to do anything.

We've been working in good faith to negotiate a deal with Disney that pays them fairly for their content and returns their programming to YouTube TV. We know it’s been disappointing to lose Disney content, and we want you to know we deeply appreciate your patience. In light of the disruption, we’re partnering with your billing provider to issue you a $20 credit. No action is needed to redeem this credit.

Are you somehow subscribed through a third party?

Not providing a blanket credit also provides them with important feedback of how many of their customers are attentive to this issue which is useful to them in determining which way they go in negotiations. I encourage everyone to claim the credit if you're eligible. It's easy to do and sends the signal that customers do care about how much their content costs.

My email said no action is needed. I'm curious why mine would be different than other users. My email doesn't say anything about a billing provider.

What everyone else in the thread has forgotten to say:

Thanks for the info, @CyberCy79 .

As for Menards...my rebate always requires that I spend more money there. Funny how that works.

I am just going to call them today, get my 20 dollar credit and tell them after that goes through unless they give me more monthly discounts going forward I will dump them. I get great joy out of these conversations. Seriously.
