There was a timeout before fourth down too. How do you not have a play called for first down? Just get up and run the play on first down. Horrific late-game management.

Because it was an easy first down and out of bounds if it’s a good throw and the receiver doesn’t decide to fall down.

Wrong, so many variables can go wrong when you throw it short.

If he catches it past the line, it eliminates those variables. Common sense 101

I really don’t care how bad Rocco played or has played the last several games.
The offensive coordinator’s job is to call plays that are successful. He has to put the QB in the best position to be successful. I don’t think he’s coming close to doing that!!!!
