Their freshman QB

I don’t get why people are putting blame on players and/or position groups. All facets are bad: offense, defense, special teams and coaching.

Ultimately, it’s coaching that makes a difference. (NIL and donors buying talent aside). There are coaches that let players just make plays, there are coaches that tell players what to do. A great coach teaches and shows players how to apply their talent to the team. They take an athlete that only knows how to play for themselves and shows them what is possible if they play for the team.

I don’t disagree it’s 2021 all over again, any expectations are too much.

Rocco is what he's always been. Solid QB, great leader, gamer, that makes a handful of really bad throws every game and has accuracy issues.
Accuracy has all ways been a concern but he's been far from a gamer lately. Old Rocco was sloppy early then came through in the end. He's been off for about 10 quarters in a row.

Pretty good summary. I think his issue is his instincts don't quite make up for what he lacks in arm talent all of the time.

He did have offers to Alabama, Notre Dame, Georgia, etc etc. Rocco did not.

Rocco had some SEC teams on his trail last offseason according to Blum during that time. Yes I know he wasn’t in the portal but no one plays by the rules and honestly I don’t even think there is any rule against talking to a player in the NIL world we live in nowadays.

He's an incredible deep ball thrower. The best I've ever seen at ISU. But he misses way too many routine short and intermediate throws. That combined with receivers dropping too many balls kills 3-4 drives per game.

Down 3 yesterday in the 2nd half, Rocco scrambled out to the left and had Sowell WIDE open in the end zone. Threw it way too high and caused Sowell to drift out of bounds. There was no defender within 20 feet. That's a routine throw your simply can't miss, but he did. We settled for another field goal as a result.

Tax deductible, charitable, organization. No board of regents to dip their fingers in. I Will take integrity, every single time. Losing sucks, but it's better than paying that tithe.

Say what you want to about BYU, they have consistently acted with integrity in my experience.

Feel free to point out examples but I think BYU has been an exemplar there.
